5 out of 5 eggsGood CPU for the price

Pros: I have had this CPU for a little over a month and I have to say I am very pleased with the performance so far. I bought this for a budget build since my laptop was finally starting to go out. I am not going to compare a desktop to a laptop since they're are differences but the performance improvement is nice since I am a programmer. The processor idles around 40 degrees Celsius for me though I am using the stock heatsink. I purchased the fractal 1000 case and placed 3 fans (one front intake, a side intake, and a rear exhuast) so that might be why my temps are lower than what some other reviewers are seeing. Having the GPU on the CPU is very nice as well. Saved money on having to buy a video card and I ca play battle field on medium settings with no problem. Honestly for the money it is very decent.

Cons: stock heatsink can get loud under load

Other Thoughts: If you haven't already I suggest cleaning off the stock thermal paste and getting articsilver 5. For the 5 dollars you do see an improvement in temps though if your not in a pinch you might want to buy a better heasink as well.

3 out of 5 eggsAMD.. Never again

Pros: Cheap, all one APU for HTPC

Cons: hot, weak cpu.

Other Thoughts: I believe in the concept of the APU, however Intel HD 4600 for mayble 100 bucks more does better gaming than APU, plus the benefit of intel longevity that can handle a a mid leve; graphics card. This APU can do it too but the processor it's self can get really hoottt and 95 watts? an i3 at the most may go as high as 54.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Great for budget builds. Don't need a graphics card. Works very well. Solid and reliable.

Cons: Non yet.

Other Thoughts: I use this for a media PC. I am using passive cooling with no fans and have had no problems with it. Build is completely silent. I have not overclocked it as for my use there is really no need to. Using SSD for Windows, and HDD for storage. Do some mild gaming via steam, and have had no bottle necks. I would purchase another AMD APU again for media builds. Good performance, great price.

4 out of 5 eggsRuns well, but hot

Pros: Runs incredibly well. Handles any task I throw at it - gaming, Adobe CC, etc.

Cons: Like everyone has said, it still runs hot. I've purchased an aftermarket cooler reducing the temps ~9 C. It runs at normal temps during the winter but a little hot in my upstairs loft during summer.

Other Thoughts: Definitely would recommend, make sure your case has decent air flow (or purchase a different cooler).

4 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: Fast enough seems to work well

Cons: stock cooler is awful it was running up to 6000 rpm to keep the cpu at 56 to 60 C on idle put an aftermarket cooler on now hovering at 29 C on idle. docked one egg for that hidden cost.

5 out of 5 eggsWindows Experience Score 7.4 CPU, 6.9 GPU

Pros: Great chip for home/office build.
Runs quiet and cool ~ 30.C. idle.
7-64 WEI Score 7.4 CPU, 6.9 GPU (2D & 3D)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: 3 Tips:
Paired with 1866 Ram (have to use XMP profiles over 1600).
Disabled "Turbo", no hit to performance, saves power & heat.
"Unparked" all cores for a big performance gain, no down-side.
