5 out of 5 eggsRecommended

Pros: Bought this chip because I didn't see the gain from getting the latest CPU from AMD for an added $150 to go from 4.4GHz/4.7GHz to 4.7GHz/5GHz. It is plenty fast and at only a couple hundred more MHz I didn't see the point unless I wa going for extreme. Worked right out of the box with 0 Config in the Bios running at 4.4GHz

Cons: Does NOT include a cooling fan and I was unable to find this information anywhere!!!! AMD website references a stock fan but it does not come with any cooling solution... And it does run HOT so buy a good fan

Other Thoughts: Awesome chip, Awesome Price, Awesome

5 out of 5 eggsNICE CPU

Pros: This thing is fast, I'M having no problems with it at this time. It runs all my games with no prob, like RRE, Titanfall and Battlefield etc. If you want this CPU make sure you buy the one that comes with the water cooling unit. It needs good cooling. I lowered the voltage down to 1.30 & I'm still getting 4.4GHZ/4.7GHZ. This CPU runs at 30 degrees at idle & 50 under load, now take it, my house is 73 degrees.

Cons: This CPU does run WARM but its not that bad.

Other Thoughts: MY System:
storm stryker cooler master tower
ASUS crosshair V formula Z mobo
G-Skill Trident X 16GB Memory
Cooler Master Seidon 240m Water Cooling
XFX 7870 DD in Crossfire
Samsung 840 PRO 256 SSD
Seagate 750 SSHD
Seagate 1T
Zalman 1000w PS

I'm very happy with this build, it runs everything I throw at it.

5 out of 5 eggsUnstoppable!

Pros: This processor is 8 cores of pure power. At factory settings with proper cooling I ran Titan Fall and Skyrim simultaneously for two hours and it stayed below 50 degrees Celsius with no issues. I'm sure it could handle a third game if there was a point. It takes everything i throw at it with ease. I will definitely buy AMD again, no question.

Cons: None at all.

4 out of 5 eggsLots of power

Pros: Lots of cores, lots of speed, and lots of power. I haven't had any issues with this CPU's performance when it comes to video gaming, audio editing, or video editing. Running multiple high CPU usage programs/apps at once and it is still able to handle more. Very impressed.

Cons: Minus one egg for not coming with a heat sink. Many reviews already mention it but I didn't caught it until the CPU arrived. Make sure if you get this CPU you get a heat sink with it; or you will be waiting a few extra days like me before you can use the CPU.

Other Thoughts: Runs really hot. Keep in mind that you will need a really good after market heat sink to keep this CPU cool.

5 out of 5 eggsQUICK AS YOU WANT IT!

Pros: So this baby is fast. VERY FAST, I'm a gamer, and with a good graphics card you'll have no issue running 2-3 screens, multiple games on each monitor if you like, while listening to music and googling/youtubing as well. This thing is a multitasking beast. It comes turbo to 4.8ghz so it will be running naturally OC. This isn't really a pro but is the most important thing to keep in mind on this chip it runs HOT. I mean VERY HOT. More in cons. Although this is definitely a disadvantage, anyone buying this chip is likely shooting for higher end CPU and performance, and likely overclocking so this should be common knowledge for these builds.

Cons: As I mentioned it runs HOT. The sole reason Im making this review is to warn future buyers if you have anything else in your computer generating high heat(as in a high end graphics card and GPU) you will NEED liquid cooling. I have an overseer rx-1 case, full side, with great air flow 1x200mm(intake) fan on the front , 2x200mm(exhaust) fans on the top, 1x200mm(intake) side fan, 1x120mm(exhaust) back fan, and 1x120mm bottom fan(intake), also a 80$ ahigh end air cooler for the CPU. The reason im listing all these specs is that air cooling is maxed in this system and the CPU will still burn up if I let her. As soon as I put in my new GPU that runs about 90C on a regular basis, I started having heat problems. I didnt imagine this would be the case with such great air flow, but alas water cooling is a MUST if you plan on maximizing this chip. And if you dont plan on maximizing this chip save yourself a little money and go down a notch or two and save yourself some cooling issues.

To Long Didnt Read
I repeat THIS BABY RUNS HOT. Water Cooling is a MUST if you want to even run full speed much less overclocking.

Other Thoughts: I just ordered a new water cooler today for this chip, plan to overclock it and post another review in a week or two.

5 out of 5 eggsEarly Review - Very pleased

Pros: Fast. Worked out of the box. Staying cool even OCd with air.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I was worried after all the reviews claiming it runs hot. So far, that has not been an issue. I have it OCd to 4.8 from the stock 4.4 and I'll push it further once I'm sure of stabilty, but as of now it's hovering at about 50c with Elder Scrolls Online running max settings @ 1900x1200 with a CoolerMaster EVO 212 (

4 out of 5 eggsFX 9370 with voltage and custom water.

Pros: Love this CPU, fun build as a hobbyist. With a custom water setup I am able to get 5.3+GHz stable in everything but P95 on eight cores. Good enough. I can drop the voltage quite a bit and keep it running at stock clocks, while using less power than an 8350 while being 400MHz faster on base and 500MHz faster on turbo. Almost get 9 points in Cinebench 11.5 at 5.3+GHz.

Cons: Uses a lot of power for what it is, but playing around I was able to keep it at the stock 4.4GHz/4.7GH turbo at under 1.25 volts with good cooling. But, as is it runs warm, but not unbearable, but good cooling is a must even without overclocking. At 5.2GHz, on Torch Light 2 I can make it drop in to the mid 30FPS range so far.... there is a lot going on, one cored pegged, the others not doing much. Obviously this isn't going to beat Intel CPU's in single threaded performance, but at 5+GHz, it isn't bad, just not as good. When I REALLY push this CPU, I can get it to almost use 400 watts by itself... but I didn't buy this to not play around with it or for good power consumption. ;)

Other Thoughts: I don't regret getting this CPU, I tend to lean towards AMD CPU's (that doesn't mean Intel isn't putting out some very fast and tempting parts). I kind of wanted to build a rig to handle this monster and even overclock it more than get the best bang for the buck I could around this price. I really enjoyed building around this CPU, now if I could just get an even better binned 9590. :) One last thing, the CPU cover was a bit concave on my 9370, I had to lap it down to the copper to get the clocks I got. Great CPU, fun build despite it's flaws.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU, Gets HOT!

Pros: This processor is amazing, 8 cores..Runs everything you need for a very long time without an upgrade.

Cons: The FX-9370 gets very hot if you were to overclock this, You need water cooling, and even then it still pretty hot

No cooler comes with this processor, as to why it is cheaper.

Other Thoughts: I use to have a ZALMAN CNPS12X which is overkill for the price and still doesn't cool it after being overclocked to 4.8ghz.
