5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This CPU is great and has plenty of power. I run every game on high without problems as it never gets over 40% usage.

Cons: Heat.

Other Thoughts: Its a great cpu and iv never had any problems with it but they say it has a ton of heat. I have had it for 4 months now and when I bought it I got the Corsair H100i and iv never had and heat problems as it idles at 3 degrees Celsius.

1 out of 5 eggsNever buying AMD again

Pros: None

Cons: Unable to run stable at factory defaults. I tried EVERYTHING in BIOS settings - bump up voltage, disable C1E/C6 states, spread spectrum tweaking. Was able to get it to run kind of stable - but it locks up every now and then still.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my friend, and it doesn't work. Such a shame. Can't even RMA it from AMD since OEM CPUs are not under warranty. Do not buy this CPU. I will be getting a new mobo and Intel CPU for my friend's PC, and my own PC upgrades in the future will be all Intel. I was a loyal AMD customer for many years, but no more.

FYI, the setup:
CORSAIR H100i watercooling setup
ASRock 990FX Extreme9 motherboard
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 16GB DDR3 1866 RAM
CORSAIR HXi HX850i 850W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsDisregard the haters

Pros: Fast like you wouldn't believe. I'm not even touching the overclocking on it. No need to do so. This, 16gigs of RAM, and my SSD, Speedy Gonzalez. Less than 30 seconds from hitting the power button to having windows 100% ready. No joke.

Cons: Blah it's hot blah blah. If you are a moron and get anything other than liquid cooling, you will have issues. However, I'm running a Corsair H80i with both fans (push/pull) and it rarely gets above 50 C. I don't know what others are doing, but the heat hasn't been a problem really.

Other Thoughts: Not a fanboy. Went from an i7 Q740 and I'm still very happy.

1 out of 5 eggsAMD FX-9590 Vishera 8-Core 4.7GHz Socket AM3+ 220W FD9590FHHKWOF Desktop Processor - Black Edition

Pros: Great Processor when I get the rest of the parts I need for the new system am building

Cons: The Processor box has been opened so don't know if the Processor has been tampered with or working - I did not expect this from Newegg

2 out of 5 eggsOutputs way to much heat

Pros: Very fast and the 8 cores to wonders for 7-zip.

Cons: This cpu gets way to hot, it is so hot in fact that even with a corsair H100i my motherboard COUGHT ON FIRE. It also requires a a huge amount of power to run for something that is not as fast as most new gen intel cpus.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this product. Save up a little more and buy a I7-4790k for more power and much less heat output.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None

Cons: I thought this processor was going to be the one to replace my 8350. Guess not. For this processor alone I upgraded my gigabyte ud3 rev. 1.1 to rev. 4.0 just for this garbage processor. Boy, do I feel like I got ripped off. Set everything up and updated the bios. Checked the bios, checked cabling, checked everything. Oh, I even thought it was the liquid cooler causing the problem went from Cooler Master Seidon 120M to Corsair H60 still didn't fix issue. Finally, reverted back to the AMD 8350 and found out that this 9590 processor was the culprit causing my system to freeze constantly. So, then I proceeded to leave the 8350 in and no more freezing issues. Next time I buy an AMD processor. There will be no next time I'll buy an AMD processor because the 9590 just changed my mind on buying another AMD processor ever. Next processor I buy will be an INTEL processor due to this blunder of a purchase I made on the 9590 having the hopes that I'll have the flagship processor running in my pc. Next time I'll go flagship on INTEL and waste money for something that works.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this one.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: *Faster than hell.
*Allows for incredible multitasking.
*Compression/decompressing files using 7zip with 8 threads on 8 cores is like magic!

Cons: *Consumes a lot of power.
*Doesn't leave a whole lot of room for overclocking or overclocking because very complex.
*Generates a serious amount of heat.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome! But not good for a first build.

Pros: It works great! Very fast, stable, and what I would expect from a high end chip. My main machine is an i7, and FX9590 can keep up.

Cons: Not really a con, but yes the 9590 is HOT, I am running an H100 cooler and this thing can keep up, but barely. Running prime 95 for an extended period of time I can hit +60c

Other Thoughts: I love this processor, I had a few extra parts around and decided to build an AMD machine so I picked up this chip, with the intent of selling the machine when I was done. I think I might keep it, I'm having so much fun with it! I am actually typing this review on now.

If you are thinking about getting the FX-9590 for a first build, I would probably not recommend it, imo takes a little bit more work to get all the parts dialed in and you might find yourself a bit frustrated, but really no fault of this chip.

5 out of 5 eggsspeed demon

Pros: This CPU Paired with Corsair H100i and thermal protected with The guild thermal compound.

My CPU temps never get above 60c.
The lowest it has been and is right now is 9c. I am using Core Temp to monitor the cpu temp. along with the Corsair link software for the fan control.
Anyway, I know i could of used some different paste, but i wanted to try something else other then Artic cool stuff. just to see what would happen. and looks like the paste is keeping with the name it is made by.

I still think Artic cool would give me a deg or more cooler, but the AMD 9590 is staying REALLY cooler, and it is a heater on its own.
and im not just saying that, 220w oh yes, it in fact is. heat off this thing could my guess fry a egg, with out the cooler ..
temps may ever with thermal compound and closed loop coolers

Cons: none, other then the IoMMU for this is useless for those of us, not running two operating systems. so if you dont have two operating system on one PC, dont enable it ...

Other Thoughts: i had this once before but had issue`s with the mother board and Memory. sent it back, cause i didnt think i was gonna go with AMD on my new build. but i did, so picked this back up again. cause it dont like it when i do, makes my system crash and lock up.
