5 out of 5 eggsFastest in the world...

Pros: Incredibly fast even at stock speeds. Overclocking potential is extreme when paired with an equally extreme cooling system

Cons: Absolutely requires a liquid cooling system. To attempt running this processor even at stock speeds with a standard cooler would be fatal for the CPU.

Other Thoughts: I paired this processor with a Asus Sabertooth 990FX motherboard and a Corsair H105 liquid cooler and an AMD R9 295x2 video card. I had both the H105 and the 295x2 flushed and filled with a Lithium Hydroxide solution. The results are record-setting. The processor is currently operating at 5.8GHz idle / 6.18GHz Turbo, but I have had it as high as 6.31GHz, however at that speed there are audio pops when more than one program pulls on the sound device. I also overclocked the R9 295x2 by 31%. I turned in my system benchmark to Rockstar for GTA 5 and my system was the 5th fastest in the world, clocked against 129,000 other systems. Not bad for a processor costing less than three hundred dollars. This CPU will give you what you put into treat it nicely and feed it well, it will set records for you too.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for the end of AM3+

Pros: Fast/great performance, I love this CPU wish I got it sooner.

Cons: As others have said it puts out a good bit of heat but if you get a closed loop cooler you should be fine. I picked up a Corsair H105 when I got this processor and the heat doesnt rise past 50c

4 out of 5 eggsSUPER FAST SUPER HOT

Pros: Blazing fast great pricing would buy another one.

Cons: Gets super hot. Make sure buy the one with the fax already mounted or be ready to buy a top of the line COOLER.

2 out of 5 eggsHmm...

Pros: It runs brilliantly when not crashing, it is a very fast CPU

Cons: Like many of the men before me, I agree too that it crashes when playing a physically demanding game, I have stressed for a month thinking it was my graphics card when all along it's been the freakin' CPU. Everything the other guys have said is exactly what'll happen, not GUARANTEED if you buy it, I'd hope you have better luck than I, but it does crash. Now to try and fix it, hopefully I don't need to replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsVery fast and Dependable CPU!

Pros: Fast CPU, 8 cores, the best CPU I've ever dealt with! I've ran Photoshop, played dying light , watched a movie at 1080p , and ran a benchmark on two hard-drives all at the same time and it didn't even break a sweat!

Cons: The ONLY problem I have, is that the CPU does run hot. Even at idle I can feel the water tubes pretty warm. My room does get pretty toasty (its no problem during the winter), but in the summer things get pretty hectic.
Idle temps range from 35°C to 48°C
I've overclocked it twice to 4.95Ghz and temps reach 56°c, at this point my room is as warm as a sauna.

Other Thoughts: I have a Amd FX 4350 and 6300, the 9590 does gaming (anything really) alot better. Sometimes during a game it would lag randomly (i thought it was the game itself), but after swapping to the 9590 that has completely stopped.

5 out of 5 eggsreally pleased, no regrets

Pros: Really fast, was simple to re-paste and upgrade from my 8150. I thought the extra thermal output would make my liquid cooling radiator fans run really loud but I haven't noticed anything. So much better than an 8150.

Long division runs almost twice as fast at stock speeds as my 8150 overclocked to the base speed of this CPU.

Other math operations, easily a 25% gain across the board. Even speeds up my graphics card.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: most important thing with this chip is to use 3rd party liquid cooling with dual radiator fans and to use a very thin thermal paste coating (I recommend a nanodiamond compound, with some in the middle and make sure it gets out towards the four corners because there are pairs of CPU cores in each corner, but not all the way to the edge because the pressure on the CPU squirts the thermal paste out the sides.)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This CPU is great and has plenty of power. I run every game on high without problems as it never gets over 40% usage.

Cons: Heat.

Other Thoughts: Its a great cpu and iv never had any problems with it but they say it has a ton of heat. I have had it for 4 months now and when I bought it I got the Corsair H100i and iv never had and heat problems as it idles at 3 degrees Celsius.

1 out of 5 eggsNever buying AMD again

Pros: None

Cons: Unable to run stable at factory defaults. I tried EVERYTHING in BIOS settings - bump up voltage, disable C1E/C6 states, spread spectrum tweaking. Was able to get it to run kind of stable - but it locks up every now and then still.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my friend, and it doesn't work. Such a shame. Can't even RMA it from AMD since OEM CPUs are not under warranty. Do not buy this CPU. I will be getting a new mobo and Intel CPU for my friend's PC, and my own PC upgrades in the future will be all Intel. I was a loyal AMD customer for many years, but no more.

FYI, the setup:
CORSAIR H100i watercooling setup
ASRock 990FX Extreme9 motherboard

5 out of 5 eggsDisregard the haters

Pros: Fast like you wouldn't believe. I'm not even touching the overclocking on it. No need to do so. This, 16gigs of RAM, and my SSD, Speedy Gonzalez. Less than 30 seconds from hitting the power button to having windows 100% ready. No joke.

Cons: Blah it's hot blah blah. If you are a moron and get anything other than liquid cooling, you will have issues. However, I'm running a Corsair H80i with both fans (push/pull) and it rarely gets above 50 C. I don't know what others are doing, but the heat hasn't been a problem really.

Other Thoughts: Not a fanboy. Went from an i7 Q740 and I'm still very happy.
