4 out of 5 eggs760k

Pros: cheap

Cons: not much faster than the 750k it replaced.

Other Thoughts: pretty much the same as the 750k if you got that just keep it or jump to the 860k if its in stock....

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As everyone else has said it is a CPU only version of the top FM2 APU. I have mine on water cooling and its OC'd to 4.8. It has been solid as a rock for over a year. Spec wise it can play any game ,have tried BF4 and LOTR, with great frame rates. Windows is snappy and with water cooling temps stay in check.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsFast and economical choice.

Pros: - Quad cores (sufficient for most uses)
- Fast
- Stable for 1 year of continuous use
- Inexpensive

Cons: - Better power v. wattage CPU's exist

Other Thoughts: These chips are sold at a bargain price due to having a defective GPU but functioning CPU. A graphics card will be needed, which would be the case for anything more intensive than light gaming, regardless of whether the integrated GPU works. With a good card, this CPU has been gaming like a champ for me.

A BIOS update may be needed to support the chip. I didn't realize this at first and it caused me to have to reinstall the old chip to update. Save yourself that hassle and check motherboard CPU support, updating BIOS if necessary.

5 out of 5 eggs4.8 GHz stably overclocked

Pros: great price, easily overclocked

Cons: Only 4 cores

Other Thoughts: Only having 4 cores is ok but if you can you should invest in a 6 or even 8 core, i was able to stably overclock mine to 4.78 GHz

5 out of 5 eggsAMD All The Way!

Pros: Its a AMD CPU, said enough! 3.8GHz, Quad- Core, 100W, and great price. I can't wait to burn this chip in and see what it can do.

Cons: Can't really say yet, just ordered. The only con is probable the stock heat sink, they don't cool very well, except on some of the AM3+ Black editions which had a pure cooper plate and heat pipes, if you have one use it on this chip, it will work just fine and keep it cool. If you OC make sure you a have proper cooling, chips fail when over heated, and watch out for the voltage it will destroy the cpu and other chips on the Mobo if too high. Leave it at stock that is fast enough.

Other Thoughts: I have been building pc's for over 20 years and have seen a lot of changes in that time. AMD has always come through for me without any problems. They make a excellent chip and I will continue to use them, until I can no longer see well enough to assemble a excellent quality, modded pc . Thanks AMD for all the years of excellent service and quality chips.
