5 out of 5 eggsRichland

Pros: The 860k while only 2 dollars more... has compatibility issues with A88X mobos (the mobo needs a bios update) and this being my first AMD build (bye bye Intel) I decided to use the Richland vs. kaveri to avoid any mobo update issues

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsFastest CPU I've ever had!

Pros: Amazing performance in it's boost clocked state! Really happy with it! I can finally play modern games at 60FPS!

Cons: Stock CPU cooler is a piece of junk! I recommend switching to an aftermarket cooler IMMEDIATELY, because in games, the stock cooler's fan SCREAMS! It's horrible. I'm impressed with how much quieter it is with a different cooler.

Other Thoughts: I got this CPU, because I wanted a dedicated Quad-Core CPU, and I had an FM2 motherboard, which was primarily for APUs.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware...

Pros: It's an AMD. Good bang for the buck.

Cons: 1) Does not have video circuitry so , mother-board on-board video doesn't work. This is not mentioned in the Newegg description.

2) I bought THREE motherboards none would work until I found out that they required BIOS updates for this processor.

5 out of 5 eggsquad core

Pros: Way better than the AMD A6-6400k Dual core I was using, That had 1m cache this has four. This CPU is an enjoyable upgrade from a dual core. I run BF4 on high/ultra with no AA at 45-60fps

Cons: not an 8 core? Also the stock cooler will need to be upgraded.

Other Thoughts: Outstanding improvement with the budget I had. Paired with msi r7 265 and 8gb of G skill dual channel ram is very nice.

4 out of 5 eggsPerforms well for price, appears to run hot.

Pros: - Performs well.
- Very affordable.
- Easy to install.

Cons: - Seems to run hot. With the stock cooler it idles around 40-45C and under load it can reach 75C. I've read that the temperature sensor on the 760K is faulty and inaccurate, so it may not actually be as hot as it seems. I've ordered a better cooler anyway just to be safe.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Definitely a jump up from my intel core 2 quad 2.5 ghz. Noticeably faster on all fronts.

Cons: none so far. a little on the warm side, 108-140 degrees F so far, on idle and with Minecraft on max settings. with stock heatsink. a little more expensive than the 860k for some reason? I would have gotten that instead but I heard that you cannot use kaveri chips in mini itx boards until you have a bios update and i did not feel like dealing with that.

Other Thoughts: while re-adjusting my heatsink i accidentally yanked the whole thing out with the cpu stuck to the bottom. still working fine lol.

3 out of 5 eggsA little better than my old i7

Pros: A little better if not on par with the old i7 920, Good gaming budget processor, Just works

Cons: Not that great anymore. Price wise for an extra 20 you could have an awesome processor

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs most games very good.
Cheap for a CPU.
On par with an Intel i5

Cons: Don't expect to play big MMOs on Ultra.

Other Thoughts: With a GTX 970 and this CPU I can play Far Cry 4 smoothly on Ultra.
However, go to Planetside 2 and I have to bump down to low settings and I'm still getting 40fps with dips into the 20s.
If you're a fan of smaller scale games or single player games, this is a perfect CPU. If you only like large scaled MMOs, save up a bit more money and get something better.
