5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice CPU for under $100. It runs fine with games i played (Dota 2, etc.)
- Must buy if youre in a budget.

Cons: -Runs pretty hot with stock cooler. I have Noctua DH-14 and its temp stays at 29-30c at idle. Running dota 2 at 35-38c.

3 out of 5 eggsOk this CPU is garbage

Pros: -Cheap

Cons: -Extremely hot

Other Thoughts: This processor is WAY TOO HOT! I have bought an aftermarket cooler, decreased the frequency down to 3.4GHz, and this thing still overheats! It is absolutely ridiculous. The case it is in has very sufficient cooling, and I have no idea why this processor keeps overheating. It idles at 50C. Are you kidding me? How was this processor sold with a pop can for a heatsink. This processor needs liquid nitrogen pouring on top of it at all times just so it never breaks 60C.

You may be looking at me like I'm just unlucky, but no. This processor, for the majority of the people who buy it, is too hot. They recommend better heatsinks, and not to overclock, all of that. I have had the worst luck with this CPU. Buy a 750K instead. I used to have that it NEVER overheated. It was very cool, even with a stock heatsink.

Now to go find an undervolting tool so this processor doesn't explode. In the meantime, I'm saving up for a better processor. Thanks for selling me garbage AMD.

Pros: NOTHING AT ALL, CAPS LOCK HELPS GET MY POINT ACROSS

Cons: EVERYTHING, NEVER SHOWED... BEEN CONTACTED TWICE... ONCE ABOUT SENDING A NEW ONE AND AGAIN FOR A REFUND... AFTER THAT NOTHING HAPPENED.. NEVER GOT CONTACTED ABOUT EITHER OF THOSE TWO.

Other Thoughts: Sincerely a guy with a fully built computer that is missing a CPU!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBang for your buck

Pros: Great Overclocker Mine is 4.8GHz at 1.425v
Great performance at this price point.
Awesome multithreaded performance.

Cons: Better suited for multithreaded tasks than single. (Pretty much always a con with any AMD cpu)

Other Thoughts: I run this overclocked with my 7850 and it matches very well, only bottlenecks in a few games. Very solid performance for this price point and overclocks greatly.

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Decent performance for cheap. Gets a 7.3 WEI. I paired it with a A88X mITX mobo and a r7 260x and this processor screams (coming from a 5 year old Macbook Pro).

Cons: The "K" in 760k is misleading. This chip does NOT have an unlocked multiplier. Only the 760k "Black Edition" does and Newegg does not carry it. I was a little disappointed finding this out after the fact but oh well.

5 out of 5 eggsBudget CPU

Pros: It's a quad-core processor for under $100. Good performance for the cost.

Cons: It's a quad-core processor for under $100. The performance is, of course, much weaker than other quad-core processors.

Other Thoughts: Great for the price, but do not expect amazing performance compared to other quad-core processors. This is only an option if you are building a budget gaming rig, as an AMD FX or Intel i5 would perform much better. If you are not gaming just get an Intel i3.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat processor for the money

Pros: Great deal the price! Good for gaming and multitasking, easily overclockable. For a budget built throw in a cheap motherboard an hd 7770 or 7790 and you've got a great rig for stuff like TF2 and CS:GO.

Cons: Stock heat sink works and is particularly noisy, but is quite small and should be replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet quad core

Pros: It's wicked fast, it's a quad core and it's piledriver tech. Oh and it's under $100 And it's easy as hell to OC but with a 3.8ghz stock speed it doesn't really need it. Has run everything I want it to and more.

Cons: It doesn't make my coffee for me in the morning.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this CPU to anyone on a tight budget...Super bang for buck!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBang for your buck

Pros: Fastest processor owned to date.

Cons: Heatsink. 'nough said.

Other Thoughts: The original temperature reads were alarming to say the least... (70C at idle) however after doing some research i found that for some reason these processors run hot out of the box regularly. (would have been nice for AMD to include a heat-sink to compensate for this) however, not worth removing a star for. It still never over heats dangerously.. even playing Crysis 3 on High, with 16x AA. At a price of only $89.99 you can't really justify any negative emotions about a product this good. lol.

If you're going to buy this processor and plan to overclock, I would personally recommend going with an aftermarket heat-sink. I personally purchased the EVO 212 just to be safe.

But can honestly report no reading above 70C while under heavy load.

I will also add... she has barely any thermal paste on her (if any) I almost returned her originally thinking i got a lemon CPU (cleaned for reboxing/return)

If you've read this far.. just buy the thing!
