5 out of 5 eggsBudget Gamer Paradise

Pros: First: Essentially this CPU is just an APU based off the Richland architecture with the IGPU (integrated graphics) turned off. This lowers the price saving a good amount of money.

Now onto the pros list:

1: Got it for 89 dollars

2: Quad Core that can handle all the games I throw at it with out bottle-necking my graphics card (R9 270)

3: Ready for overclocking as it is unlocked. From what I hear it can overclock like a beast even under air cooling.

4: DID I MENTION IT IS LESS THEN 90 DOLLARS?!?! Oh I did?

5: If you buy an FM2+ board you should be able to upgrade later on if you want (assuming AMD follows their cpu trends)

6: Athlon is a sexy name

Cons: Doesn't make me sandwiches or dinner.

Seriously though, no cons as of yet. I guess one con is that you can be potentially limited to your graphics card selection in terms of power but any smart builder knows that if you are buying a budget cpu then you are most likely buying a budget GPU as well.

Other Thoughts: None as of this moment.

5 out of 5 eggsFor $90, this is the ultimate buy

Pros: + Extreme overclock ability
+ Great architecture; doesn't bottleneck with mid-tier and some upper-mid-tier graphics cards
+ Stock heatsink can be loud at times but it's very decent if you have great cooling in your case; I only reached 64 Celsius at 4GHz OC but it still varies based on what you're actually doing. Stock heatsinks are meant to be replaceable but very usable and this is a good balance.
+ Great buy for the money; it benches near the haswell i3 and it's only $90 NOT on sale

Cons: - A little less stable when overclocked; a custom cpu cooler is pretty much required 4.1 or above in heavy usage or you'll have to listen to the stock fan yell at you. If you're going to overclock, you won't notice a difference in performance unless you have something like an h100i and come near the range of 5ghz and even then, it's only a big improvement on benchmarks
- FM2 socket type; while this processor saved me from having to buy a new mobo, the FM2 socket type should be avoided unless you are on an extremely tight gaming budget and don't plan on upgrading
- Get a high end mobo or you could tear yours up; this CPU can start some serious heat and damage cheap motherboards when overclocked

Other Thoughts: This CPU will run just about every game (Battlefield 4, specifically) on high at a solid (or rough) 60fps (down to 45-50 usually when recording) and other games (Just Cause 2, for instance) at maximum settings at a very solid 60fps. For gamers who don't care much for framerate, [near] maximum settings on games such as Crysis will still bring you a satisfying 30 to 50fps.

For the money, this buy should be highly considered. However, unless you are on a tight budget, I would suggest going the AM3+ rout and buying an FX processor. While currently some may not provide the best bang for your buck, the AM3+ line will offer higher end processors years down the road for cheap upgrading. If you do decide to go the AM3+ rout, be sure that you have a mobo with a 990FX (and SB950) chipset.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU, once I finally got it.

Pros: Great overclocker! I may have gotten lucky but I got a stable 4.9Ghz.. got stutter at 5Ghz

Pairs well with my GTX 760 to get me 60-150 fps in all games at ultra.

Cons: lost my first package when they sent it.. Took forever to a refund so I could buy another one.

Stock cooler is worthless, which is to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Always pick AMD over Intel :D

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Surprised

Pros: -Good overall performance
-Price ($90 at time of purchase), and motherboards are inexpensive too
-Unlocked multiplier
-Future upgrade path when using an FM2+ mobo.

Cons: -Stock heatsink is garbage. Its noisy and has my chip hitting 70C easily.
-Power consumption is higher than Intel chips.

Other Thoughts: You can't really argue with a $90 CPU with this much performance. Sure it may not match a Haswell i3 in synthetic benchmarks, but for everyday use it is way more than sufficient and honestly the difference between the two while gaming is not that noticeable (in most cases); especially considering the price.
I paired this chip with an MSI A88XM-E45 motherboard (highly recommend), 8 GB of RAM and I couldn't be happier. I can't comment on its overclockability yet as I plan to get a better HSF before I make this thing run any hotter. But from what Ive read on forums most people are able to hit around 4.5 GHz quite easily.
Its a great little chip and one of the favorites Ive tried recently. If you are on the fence about it dont be dissuaded by the AMD haters out there. For $90 you cant really go wrong, just remember to buy an FM2+ motherboard so that you have an upgrade path in the future for Kaveri or Carrizo.

3 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: it has really good specs, but i wish i could have stress tested it

Cons: was DOA and was really annoyed, i tried to replace the mobo and that did not help, also when i have the cpu in the socket, the accesories such as the fans would turn on and after 30 seconds turn back off, but if i remove the cpu the fans would stay on

1 out of 5 eggsHORRIBLE!

Pros: None.

Cons: I put it in my new pc and turned it on, then it starts.
It starts too load Windows 8 then it goes haywire The CPU fan goes To full rpm, then my screen goes black.

I did everything right when in stalling too. It still has all the pins and i only touched it by the sides.

I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL!

Other Thoughts: I have a After market Fan.
