5 out of 5 eggsquad core 3.8ghz for under $100!!!

Pros: great chip for under 100 bucks, fast, unlocked, overclockable to 4.2 ghz np :)

Cons: eh not really a con but heads up to future buyers buy aftermarket heatsink or liquid cooling(like i did),stock heatsink makes great paper weight though xD

Other Thoughts: hm been running great for almost one solid year of heavy use and gaming :) highly recommend

EDIT: ALMOST 3 YEARS AND STILL RUNNING STRONG OVERCLOCKED AND PC IS ALMOST RUNNING NON STOP!

3 out of 5 eggsdescent budget build

Pros: Lasted 3 years and ran triple A titles sort of well. My PC rarely was turned off and it ran cool. Not a good card for editing, it has issues withstanding a high work load.

Cons: It finally died. Also the fact it isn't Intel. For gaming especially Intel absolutely buries this chip. I would rather have bought an i5 and paid a little more money so I could have played games such as dayz or arma.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quad Core for Budget Build

Pros: This processor has been performing well for quite some time now. I am using it with Ubuntu 15.10 (previously 14.04 & 15.04) and I have had no problems with it. I do some light gaming (Minecraft, CounterStrike; GO, etc) and it holds up well. My 30-50 Firefox tabs only slightly tax it.

Cons: It isn't an i7? I really don't know of anything to put for a con.

Other Thoughts: If you need a strong budget computer, this is the way to go. It works well with Linux.

Edit: I've now run Ubuntu 14.04, 15.04, 15.10, LinuxMint 17.3, Elementary OS 0.3.2, & Fedora 23 on this CPU. Everythning went well.

5 out of 5 eggsThis C.P.U. !

Pros: Great price.
Price to performance is out of the roof.
4 cores for dual core price.
Easy to push the frequency from 3.0 to 3.8 24/7
Super simple

Cons: Can heat up a bit but nothing to worry about if your room is normal temperature.

Other Thoughts: Just all around a great C.P.U. for price to performance and definitely great if your looking for an entry level C.P.U.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap, Good, Hot

Pros: Cheap, Works Great.

Cons: Gets extremely hot, after a year it broke down from over heat. I reapplied thermal paste and ran some tests and it gets a constant 90C don't know if it was just my CPU or what but recommending getting a cooler besides the stock one.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable, as expected

Pros: This is installed in an ubuntu server, so I cant comment on its speed too much, I did do some quick mental math when first using this and estimated it can theoretically transcode 16 or so dvds on the fly simultaneously which is way more power than I could possibly need. The server has been on 24/7 for 28 days so far with no errors, and with BOINC running full tilt for about 7 hours a night every night, so there’s some reliability for ya. stock heatsink is enough to keep this from melting when running @ 100% for hours

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied, as per usual for any AMD product

4 out of 5 eggsGet what you paid for!

Pros: Decent CPU, that gets the job done
Can Overclock
Runs most of my games @ 60 FPS on high; Metal Gear Rising, Human Revolution, GRID, Sniper Ghost 2, Witcher 2, Dead Space 3

Cons: Can run a little hot depending on the case
Sometimes bottlenecks

Other Thoughts: Sometimes bottlenecks during heavy activity, Im using a r9 270X but since I overclocked to 4.4 (Water cooled) i haven't really noticed it anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsA nice little Quad Core

Pros: This is a good CPU that will get the job done. I recommend it to folks that want a capable CPU that can handle stress, and not for a very high price tag.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: When idle, it runs at 37C, which is normal with a stock cooler. When gaming it runs at 66C, which is also normal with a stock cooler. I have no idea why people say it runs hot. These CPUs are built to withstand extreme temperatures. It isn't like the CPU is overheating, which isn't the case. To get an accurate temperature I recommend using BIOS and Speedfan. Those both are rather accurate at reading CPU temps.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cpu

Pros: Pretty fast
About 60+ fps on WoW
Cost

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't used the stock cpu cooler due to other reviews; I purchased an aftermarket cooler, and it is doing well.
