5 out of 5 eggsWaiting for HSA support

Pros: This processor basically is on par with my old 3570k, so I didn't take a performance hit. However, once HSA and HUMA support hits, this processor should have amazing performance compared to CPU only processors.

It's also nice to have a decent integrated graphics solution to fall on if my dedicated GPU were to fail.

Cons: At the moment the processor isn't the best, mostly due to that I haven't overclocked it at all, and that HSA/HUMA support is not utilized fully yet. But if I have to wait a while for better performance, I can.

I also have to wait for an HSA compatible AMD GPU to pair with the processor, since I'm not going to sacrifice my GTX 670 to use the dual-graphics solution with an R7 250 or 240. Maybe the new 20mm GPU's will have this?

Other Thoughts: I'm still interested to see how much performance these new APU's will get with the HSA and HUMA technologies. I've read around that some programs tested utilizing HSA have a 20x performance increase compared to normal CPUs, such as OpenCL. If that same performance boost works for games as well, it's going to be impressive!

5 out of 5 eggs4K support

Pros: Ultra high def 4K support without a dedicated video card. 4K on Seiki ultra high def TV has 4 times the resolution of high def. Matches the 8 megapixel photos in my travel/event collection. Stunning clarity. You can almost see light reflection on individual hair on portraits of people. Owns Seiki 39 inch as monitor, 50 inch and 65 inch as TV. Join the ultra high def era for cheap. Google '4K demo photo or video', download and enjoy. High def video is stunning too. Your motherboard must be fm2+ capable, not just fm2.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Cutting edge R7 although not R8 nor R9 power.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor for the money.

Pros: Good price..
Surprisingly stable and cool with stock heatsink/fan. I don't do any overclocking.
Plays all of my games on max settings with 8 GB of Gskill running at 1866 MHZ.. (Haven't got the setting correct for 2133 yet.. :/)
I play lots of MMO's and the newest Farcry 3..
No discrete GPU and all of those games run fine.. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't know where the comments are coming from that you have to buy a different cooler to run this processor.
If you are overclocking, that should be a given.. But if you are planning to run this APU at stock settings, don't waste your money on a massive cooler.. If it runs too hot at stock, make sure the heat sink is secure and making good contact with the APU and you should be fine. Even while playing Farcry 3 my temps don't go above the mid 50's somewhere.. Which is fine for this. AMD runs hotter than Intel.. always has.. don't panic.

4 out of 5 eggsGood CPU power - Poor Heatsink

Pros: No bent pins, CPU has performance very similar to my i5 haswell 4200M, a 7.5 on windows 7 x64 WEI score. Booted up to desktop under 10 seconds with a cheap SSD. Windows operations were very responsive and quick, the temps stayed very low 20 - 30'C idling and did not take much power from the supply. The GPU is powerful and way out performs the i5 intel graphics, there is no comparison. The price tag on this CPU is also a great deal, saved a lot of money. It's black edition and core is unlocked for speed. The CPU part of this APU outperformed my phenom II 965 under most applications but is lacking on some benchmarks. It beats my phenom II on gaming and photoshop applications.

Cons: The oem heat sink is the same one I got for an old sempron... all aluminum, not polished and the contact area is less than half the size of the APU. It is so bad that the CPU quickly reaches 60'C running a 3d graphics benchmark after 30 seconds with lots of case air flow at normal room temperature.

Other Thoughts: I feel using the stock oem heatsink will cause damage to the APU under normal conditions while gaming. Being a black edition it should atleast come with a dual heatpipe copper core heatsink.

4 out of 5 eggsA good value

Pros: -Excellent temps to start with (around 30-40c when idling) -Integrated graphics that would easily cost 50-100 bucks by itself
-Great stock cooler included

Cons: -Graphics are capable but not great, if you want a true gaming rig you'll need to consider getting a dedicated GPU anyway, this one had trouble running Dota 2 at 720p, many games had to be severally reduced tweaked or reduced to run decently. Do not make the same mistake that I did, this is great for light gaming but nothing more than that.

Other Thoughts: I can't help but feel a little cheated by the lack of GPU performance that was promised. I would have gotten an 8-core and a dedicated GPU. Also don't bother trying to crossfire, you'll get a much better value using a dedicated CPU and discrete GPU. Check out hardware reviews if you don't believe me. Same price but twice the framerate.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bargain

Pros: Phenomenal little bargain. Strong integrated graphics for my brother's computer and plenty fast. The SSD really made it sing. Great buy

Cons: It doesn't come with a set of warm mittens for the kittens.

Other Thoughts: Good buy for an economical but powerful build.

5 out of 5 eggs720P 10/10 1080P 6.5/10

Pros: This APU is by No means a meant to be Process oriented.

it's computational power is close to a dedicated Dual core CPU at most. AMD's X4 830 wipes this processor clean.

but for the gaming, the real Shine of this Beauty. it is really meant for it. with such a high end cost effective alternative this really does show some very promising results, the kind of results that make you bite your nails and wonder what will be the next years Line of components.
with a component like this is Dual'd with a High speed low latency ram, Such as 2133mhz this is a fully capable 1080P APU, able to pull 40's to even 50's on games of 2012 at max settings. (except for the Major titles like Metro, and Crysis)

Cons: Computational and Threaded tasks really aren't what this processor is meant for.

Other Thoughts: worth the money if also invest in a 2 Dual channel kits running at 2133mhz. this APU opens up compared to 1600mhz, with gaming.

i currently have the GPU at a stable (for almost a month now) 4.5 Ghz and it slightly improved gameplay. but not worth breaking the warranty over to be honest.
i bought this entirely as a concept computer, and am now a firm believer in the Future of AMD's APU line. especially there top tier APU.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect HTPC Solution

Pros: Plays D III and BF4 at respectable frame rates on 1080p. Medium settings were not out of the question with mantle turned on. Amazing for a single chip solution. Seems speedy enough at stock. I haven't overclocked yet but it doesn't look like it will be tough to.

Cons: Wish it had some L3 cache, but if HSA programs become more widely adopted then that caveat is completely eliminated. If the system had DDR4 bandwidth or the new HBM modules the integrated GPU would be faring even better. Not using the stock heatsink, ever.

Other Thoughts: I migrated my Plex server from my 4770k rig to a new mini tower build, and this thing runs flawlessly. Overall power consumption is less than my main rig, which makes it great for streatming. Plex home theater app ran great on the rig. I'm housing the movies on a 1TB Passport Ultra with no lag and my games/files on a WD Black 750 GB 2.5 inch drive. Main drive is Plextor M3 128GB SSD. Case is Cooler Master N200. You can fit a full 240mm radiator in it! Cooler is Hyper 212 EVO for now. I went with the MSI A88X Gaming board and love it.

All in all this is a very respectable APU. It does just fine with most tasks. I was lucky and got a new one for $90! :D

5 out of 5 eggsWhat more can you say AMD RULES

Pros: Fast Boot. and Fast Rate. chews up graphics like bubba through beer. the defanate choose for anyone building a gaming system .

Cons: Runs a bit hot. i suggest anyone planing on building a new top of line gaming system, spend the extra 50 - 100 bucks and get a self contained water cooled system http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835214058
was a great choice for the ultimate gaming system .
