5 out of 5 eggsRuns games well-

Pros: Love it. This little guy looks harmless, but when you have the right parts this thing LIFTS.

So far running all games (BF4, Payday 2, all Source games) at least at 30FPS at 1080p on Medium-low settings using 2133MHz RAM. Should go even faster once I OC the GPU and RAM. You will love the 7850K, Hyper 212, and fast RAM paired together.

Quite honestly I think it's a bit overkill for a simple HTPC.

It was great when a couple my friends started scratching their heads when they saw no dedicated GPU in my full-tower case.

Other applications such as Adobe Photoshop/Flash, Sony Vegas (some lag for large projects), and some light AutoCAD run fine with little to no issues.

Cons: Where's the OEM heatsink? AMD ships them with their processors, right? All I could find in the box (other than the beast APU) was this weird aluminum paperweight with this fan-looking thing on it.

Doesn't cook me breakfast, nor does it want to kiss me.

Other Thoughts: In all honesty though, the OEM heatsink will barely keep the processor from overheating. Barely.

Getting a new heatsink is a must. Hyper 212 keeps me generally under 60°C at full load at all times.
Geting fast RAM is a must, we're talking 2133MHz at LEAST. I imagine 2400MHz would improve performance a lot since both the CPU and GPU use the same memory, and that dedicated graphics cards have super-fast RAM onboard.

I found Mantle helps out a bit on some games (like Battlefield), gaining a 5-15% boost in FPS.

5 out of 5 eggsOverclocks like a boss!

Pros: I have this processor liquid cooled running stable at 4.6 GHz. AMD overdrive overclocking reached this number easily. Temps stay decent on a full load overclocked this high has well.
Without overclocking the processor is quick and responsive for any task I can throw at it. Great bang for the buck.
Graphics are amazing. I had new games running somewhere around 30 FPS on Medium settings, Very impressive for an APU.

Cons: No Cons at this price!

Other Thoughts: This is a great deal for the price. I would recommend!

4 out of 5 eggsNot too shabby

Pros: Bought this for a new entertainment center mini-itx pc. Runs moderately cool and the speed is acceptable for watching videos. Haven't tried any games with it, I don't game much on my TV. I do recommend using a case that has a little room in it and an additional fan or 2 other than the included heatsink fan, I can see it getting too hot in a super compact ITX case. I installed it in a cool master elite 130 case using a ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ mobo

Cons: maybe a touch overpriced, I think it would be better at $130 or $140.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat APU

Pros: Fantastic APU no problems what so ever, The best stock cooler i have ever had in anything ever. Better than some after market cool by a far shot.
I'm running it in a NZXT 220 with 5x120mm and a 140mm fan which does help but at idle i run 0 degrees centigrade and 39 degrees under load so yeah fantastic cooler and APU

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: you need a minimum of 8gb of ram to use the APU. Anything less will have massive bottle necking and lag under any load what so ever. The best way to run this APU is with an A88X motherboard and 16gb of AMD 2133 ram. with that set up you can run must of anything with out lag and if you like playing things at Hyper settings you might want to get a R7 or an R9 GPU to help the APU out.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat APU

Pros: All in one chip, the graphics do really well. They probably would do even better if not for the resolutions it is running. With an ultra wide 2560x1080 it can push a decent 30fps in Skyrim - I had no issues getting the game to run just manipulate the cfg file in the documents not the game install folder. Based on this I can only assume it would be even better should I cut it back to 1080p. Built this in a system that will be used for some gaming, some music creation and some general computing.

Cons: AMD Stock Cooler.
No seriously.... it's a hunk of aluminium that will not even cover the entire APU base with the core. I would estimate that it would cover 75% at most of the chip, the rest would only touch the fins.

Other Thoughts: I knew going in that the AMD stock coolers would probably be a joke (still) on the APU, I have an A8 Richland in an HTPC box with stock as the low profile case makes finding a decent quiet cooler at a good price a touchy subject. This one going into a mini mATX case I went with the 212 evo. Buy one with it, it will not dissapoint.

5 out of 5 eggsWaiting for HSA support

Pros: This processor basically is on par with my old 3570k, so I didn't take a performance hit. However, once HSA and HUMA support hits, this processor should have amazing performance compared to CPU only processors.

It's also nice to have a decent integrated graphics solution to fall on if my dedicated GPU were to fail.

Cons: At the moment the processor isn't the best, mostly due to that I haven't overclocked it at all, and that HSA/HUMA support is not utilized fully yet. But if I have to wait a while for better performance, I can.

I also have to wait for an HSA compatible AMD GPU to pair with the processor, since I'm not going to sacrifice my GTX 670 to use the dual-graphics solution with an R7 250 or 240. Maybe the new 20mm GPU's will have this?

Other Thoughts: I'm still interested to see how much performance these new APU's will get with the HSA and HUMA technologies. I've read around that some programs tested utilizing HSA have a 20x performance increase compared to normal CPUs, such as OpenCL. If that same performance boost works for games as well, it's going to be impressive!

5 out of 5 eggs4K support

Pros: Ultra high def 4K support without a dedicated video card. 4K on Seiki ultra high def TV has 4 times the resolution of high def. Matches the 8 megapixel photos in my travel/event collection. Stunning clarity. You can almost see light reflection on individual hair on portraits of people. Owns Seiki 39 inch as monitor, 50 inch and 65 inch as TV. Join the ultra high def era for cheap. Google '4K demo photo or video', download and enjoy. High def video is stunning too. Your motherboard must be fm2+ capable, not just fm2.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Cutting edge R7 although not R8 nor R9 power.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor for the money.

Pros: Good price..
Surprisingly stable and cool with stock heatsink/fan. I don't do any overclocking.
Plays all of my games on max settings with 8 GB of Gskill running at 1866 MHZ.. (Haven't got the setting correct for 2133 yet.. :/)
I play lots of MMO's and the newest Farcry 3..
No discrete GPU and all of those games run fine.. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't know where the comments are coming from that you have to buy a different cooler to run this processor.
If you are overclocking, that should be a given.. But if you are planning to run this APU at stock settings, don't waste your money on a massive cooler.. If it runs too hot at stock, make sure the heat sink is secure and making good contact with the APU and you should be fine. Even while playing Farcry 3 my temps don't go above the mid 50's somewhere.. Which is fine for this. AMD runs hotter than Intel.. always has.. don't panic.

4 out of 5 eggsGood CPU power - Poor Heatsink

Pros: No bent pins, CPU has performance very similar to my i5 haswell 4200M, a 7.5 on windows 7 x64 WEI score. Booted up to desktop under 10 seconds with a cheap SSD. Windows operations were very responsive and quick, the temps stayed very low 20 - 30'C idling and did not take much power from the supply. The GPU is powerful and way out performs the i5 intel graphics, there is no comparison. The price tag on this CPU is also a great deal, saved a lot of money. It's black edition and core is unlocked for speed. The CPU part of this APU outperformed my phenom II 965 under most applications but is lacking on some benchmarks. It beats my phenom II on gaming and photoshop applications.

Cons: The oem heat sink is the same one I got for an old sempron... all aluminum, not polished and the contact area is less than half the size of the APU. It is so bad that the CPU quickly reaches 60'C running a 3d graphics benchmark after 30 seconds with lots of case air flow at normal room temperature.

Other Thoughts: I feel using the stock oem heatsink will cause damage to the APU under normal conditions while gaming. Being a black edition it should atleast come with a dual heatpipe copper core heatsink.
