The Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 processor features two independent processor cores, built on the innovative Intel Core microarchitecture. This one processor, features two cores operating at 2.66GHz with a full 4MB L2 cache and a 1066MHz FSB provides truly parallel computing for enhanced multi-application performance. Other features, including Intel Wide Dynamic Execution, Intel Smart Memory Access, Intel Advanced Smart Cache and Intel Digital Media Boost, all help the processor do more in less time. PC users are running multiple, intense software applications simultaneously and demanding more on hardware resources. In office, PC usage has changed from data entry and word processing to e-Commerce, online collaboration and an ever-increasing need for continual security and virus protection.

Awesome CPU
- Pros: Runs my games and apps noticeable faster than my OC'd P4 3.2 @3.8.
Runs 15c cooler at idle and 25c cooler at load than my P4.

- Other Thoughts: I put this CPU on a Asus P5B-E with A-Data DDR2 800 ram, and an X1900XT -this has been the most satisfying system build I have ever done.
Wow!!
- Pros: My games have never been faster. I can run Tetris, Wing Commander, Doom 2, and Atari Classics at MAX Settings with NO lag! Myst 1 looks soooooo awesome.......I'm so happy I could cry. I haven't played Mavis Beacon on the new rig but I'm sure it will rock my world!
- Cons: None whatsoever!
- Other Thoughts: Now I need to get a Sound Blaster 16 so I can have the total gaming experience!

great processor
- Pros: great processor for the price. i bought it when it was right behind the Extreme Edition E6800, and it performed exceptionaly. runs lot cooler than my old P4.
- Cons: None that i can think of.. make sure you go into bios and make sure it runs at 2.66, the motherboard sets it to 2.133 default but increase the multipliers to 12x i believe and you will be running 2.66.
- Other Thoughts: i should of waited longer to get the E6850 or E8400.
unbelieveable
- Pros: OC'ing ability. Super fast, fairly priced for what you can get out of her.
- Cons: Are you serious? OK, here is a con, it won't do me a beer run.
- Other Thoughts: I haven't built a computer in 4 yrs or so and that was when AMD had the edge, well the worm has turned. This is amazing and I am looking forward to putting this beauty to the test. SO much for me being die hard AMD. Only thing I can recommend is might as well go OEM and spend a small amount on a F&HS, will not spend any more for both and you wont have to worry about heat, she runs fairly cool on stock speeds anyway. I will be soon overclocking I am sure. ASROCK Quad Core, SilentStorm case from Sunbeam (check it out...sweet 3 120mm fans), XFX 5200 Asylum 256MB(only thing holding me back), 2gig DDRII 667 ram, 250G WD Caviar HD. Couldn't be happier

- Pros: It is a very sweet cpu at 2.66. I have mine a 3.5 and the core at 1.50v . It rips all my games
