5 out of 5 eggsSolid CPU

Pros: Got this as a bang for buck CPU at the time. Overclocked it to 3.2GHz on air and its treated me great.

Cons: Only issue is its now a few years old.

Other Thoughts: Id suggest a water cooler for higher overclocking. At 3.2GHz it was a little hot but got a new cpu fan that took care of that issue.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable as all get-out

Pros: Overclocks very well even on air cooling, my maximum stable was 4.0 GHZ. I ran this CPU for 4 years straight @ 3.4 GHZ, only recently stepping back to 3.2 in the interest of lifespan.

I have never seen a temp over 70C.

Cons: Uhh.. After a full 5 years and 3 months of ownership, I cannot possibly begin to point out any negative aspects of this processor.

Other Thoughts: Simply must be replaced... no way can this hold a candle to a new i7.

Sad to see it go. Will likely put it to use inside a NAS one day.

I realize this review is extremely late, as this is a discontinued CPU, however some people might like to know the potential these had to last.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent price/performance

Pros: Great performance for the price. Overclocks well with a decent board, and can obviously tackle any multi-threaded app.

Cons: Runs a bit warm, so just make sure you have a decent HSF.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic product. Very satisfied with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: Easy to overclock with the right Mobo. Stays cool.

Cons: None found yet.

Other Thoughts: Research your setup before your build. Ensure that your Ram, mobo and processor will work together. If not, you will be fighting yourself to get decent overclock speeds.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat more can I say....

Pros: This processor is incredible!!!! Chews through dvd to .mkv file creating using handbrake. Maxes out all cores for great performance and incredible video quality. Takes whatever I throw at it in Reason 4..... even using 24 bit using on-board audio which is heavily dependent on the processor.
Got the newest version that uses 95W vs 105W. Give it some quality Corsair or PC Power and Cooling PSU juice and it will reward you.
Runs cool @ 35c idle, don't have an under load temp.

Cons: NONE!!!

Other Thoughts: Q6600 2.4Ghz Stock
Mascool Heatsink/Fan
Gigabyte 965P-S3
4GB Gskill 1066
Corsair 750watt
Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Processor!!

Pros: Overclockable. It practically BEGS to be! Big price drop in the last year. You can get excellent, reliable performance for little more than a Dual core.

Cons: I recommend a good heat pipe HS on it if you want to overclock.

Other Thoughts: I am running it at 333 fsb and it doesn't get above 50 with a Zalman 9700. I am running 64 bit Vista and it really performs.
