5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: massive improvement over my previous P4, usually ran at high 20sC with a Freezer 7

Cons: not a big deal but couldn't get it to boot past 2.8, without a lot of voltage

Other Thoughts: went in a gigabyte p35-ds3l

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cpu

Pros: Works very well and it's not that expensive.

Cons: I haven't had one yet. Knock on wood.

Other Thoughts: Great buy, I put one in 4 computers that I built, and all 4 work flawlessly.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy overclocker

Pros: It's so easy i got mine to 3.4 ghz /1.45volts(6 huors prime95 stable) idle 31-33c /load 45-55c(at 2.2 ghz / load@45c) using "dustfree" "freezer pro 7" cooler!

Cons: not a wolfdale to abuse

Other Thoughts: OK! easy to 3.0-3.2ghz depends on mobo and cooling. volts moved up rapidly after 3.0ghz from 1.28v to 1.45v to reach 3.4 ghz stable(max is 1.5v for this core). Load temps... 2.5c for each 100mhz after 3.0ghz(see temps under pro's)(max temp is 75c till thermal shutdown )
using gigabyte p35 board /650 watt sigma psu / 2x1gb OCZ platinum 1066 ddr / zotac 9800gtx....3dmark06 13,300(refer to cons for reason i didn't make 15,000)

5 out of 5 eggsPepped up my Unit

Pros: You can do a scan and surf or play a game while listening to music and notice no hesitation in your performance. It performs a lot better than just the pentiums I've owned or worked on.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I debated with myself on which processor I would purchase and the reviews on this E4500 swung me towards it. I am satisfied with the processor and glad I took the time to read the reviews. Some knowlegable people took their time to give honest reviews and I thank them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor!

Pros: -Easy overclocker
-Reasonable heat output
-Great value
-x11 multiplier

Cons: I can't get it two grow two more cores and clock at 4.5GHz?

Other Thoughts: I've had a great experience with this CPU, even the stock heatsink and fan weren't too shabby. Good job Intel!

5 out of 5 eggs40% Overclock

Pros: Awesome overclocker. Booted at 3.35, but had to bump it back to 3.1 for 24/7 stable. Still at 3.1, that's a 40.9% overclock. That's on an MSI Neo2-FR Bios 1.8, 1.35v, 282 x 11. Temps are good for this amount of push. On water I get about 28 idle / 38 load in a hot and humid new england summer.

Cons: Temp sensors are out of whack according to msi utilities, but coretemp works like a charm. Was getting a bit warm before I put it on water (low 60s load).

Other Thoughts: Well worth the money for the amount of overhead left on these things. Maybe I just got a good one, but my lord this thing is a beastly overclocker. Neo2-FR, 4GB OCZ Platinum R2, 1.5 TB, 8800GTS 320 (G80), Vista U x64

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: I love this processor. It's in my Lan Rig, and I couldn't be happier. I can max out every single game that I own except for Crysis, which I can play on High with 2x filters. It produces minimal heat, and is quite powerful. When it comes to multimedia tasks, it's very fast and speedy.

Cons: None. I bought this at a local store bundled with a motherboard, and it was cheaper then newegg's price...

Other Thoughts: Lan Rig Specs: E4500 2.2Ghz, 8800GTS 640MB, DVD Burner, 2GB DDR2 533, 320gb Hard drive for XP Pro, 500GB Hard Drive for Xubuntu, Xclio case, Generic motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Processor

Pros: Awesome speed, it's cool, and has an awesome price.

Cons: Now it's outdated with the 45nm's out. But you can't get one for this price.

Other Thoughts: Put it in a basic $400 build.
