Does everything I need
- Pros: Extremely fast. Does everything I need. I was debating between this and the Bloomfield CPU. I got his because it is more efficient and performs just as well or better than the high end Bloomfield if you don't need to overclock. I don't overclock and I use this mainly for video editing (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects ETC.) I could not believe how mach faster this is compared to my Core 2 Duo CPU.
- Cons: Stock fan. Using the stock fan I maxed out at 70C just doing video transcoding or using a backup program.
- Other Thoughts: I replaced the stock fan with the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120 mm and I couldn't be more happy. No matter what video editing tasks I throw at it my CPU never goes above 48C. I even ran Prime95 blended and it never rose above 51C! I also use Corsair Dominator memory and the cooler can be adjusted to fit over the 1st RAM slot! So I also get to keep the tall heat spreader that comes with the memory. If you do use this cooler , you do need a wide enough case for it to fit.

Not disappointed
- Pros: Installed fine, worked on the first try, very powerful.
- Cons: Seems a little expensive compared to the 900 line.
- Other Thoughts: I'm not big on overclocking and benchmarks, but I am a hardcore gamer. So far everything is working great and I am very satisfied with my purchase. No additional configuration was needed with my new system and it worked on the first try.

Wicked fast
- Pros: 3.2 ghz on 4 threaded apps and 3.6 ghz on singles. This will handle anything I throw at it as of yet. Turbo boost rocks and is a big extra if you don't OC
- Cons: Price. At just a slight increase in performance over the 860, it is hard to justify paying almost double for the 870. I buy most of my stuff off Newegg but I picked this up off eb-y slightly used for about $300
- Other Thoughts: If you plan on running anything more intense than surfing online, drop the stock cooler for an aftermarket

- Pros: very fast, I have mine to 4.2 stable on air for folding in my dedicated folding rig running 24/7
