New Tech Cheap and Fast

Pros: For its price point you get the Lynnfield's On-Die PCI Express, runs on average 5 degrees cooler than my core 2 cpu at the same speeds. Got it to OC to a 3.4 with minor tweaks. Noticed more pep in my VM PCs running on my rig using VMServer.
Cons: Noticed a 5-10 FPS more per game using gtx 260 in sli. Had to buy New MODO and 6 gigs of ddr3 ram for about 4 $$ beans. 5-10 fps more when your all ready getting 90-250 fps in games is not a huge leap.
Other Thoughts: If you have a Core 2 running at clocks speeds above 3GHz I see no need to buy. I feel like i wasted 6$$ beans for maybe a 5-7% gain in performance. From what i have read the PCIx splitting to 8 lanes only drops FPS above 1900x1200 with AA turned up. Word on the web is LGA 1155 is due to come out in 8 months also. Silly Intel STOP changing sockets!

Pros: at 2.66 it is fast and you dont feel the need for HT. The new q6600. was able to clock it at 3.7 ghz and temp never goes over 60c with a 1.4 v. on air cooler that was 20 bucks.
Cons: have it hooked up with the msi p55-cd53 and the oc genie clocked the ram at 1.7v. had to manually lock it at 1.64v. so be careful if using the oc genie cause it does clock it a bit high.
Other Thoughts: this has benchmarked at 35-40% boost in speed above the q6600 and blows the phenom 2 away in almost all benchmarks . once you pump up the cores up it just cant be stopped everything is quick. buy and enjoy core i5. best recommended with a single pci-xpress gpu so go big like gtx 285 or 4890 or wait for the gtx 350.

Amaizing CPU

Pros: Excellent CPU! Was able to install it inside the Intel DP55WB MOBO with out any issues. Intel Turboboost took care of detecting it at 3.20 GHz with out any overclocking!! Tempratures at 35 degrees with stock heatsink and Rosewill RCX-TC050 Thermal Grease and Rear Fan.
Cons: Except high operating tempratures of any new Intel CPU, everything else is cool!

Pros: Fast, low heat, Highly overclockable.
Equals or beats the i7 920 in nearly every game.
Best gaming CPU on the market in my opinion.
(AMD Fanatics please calm down)
