5 out of 5 eggsWorks better than advertised.

Pros: - It runs everything I've thrown at with no problem.
- Four extra virtual cores.
- LGA2011
- High benchmark rating compared to AMDs and similar Intel CPUs.

Cons: No stock fan included. Not that you should stick with a stock fan on this powerful of a CPU anyways...

Other Thoughts: Cooled with a Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 aftermarket air cooling block. Stays below 120°F without tweaking any speed settings. (The fans on the cooler are 4 pin PWM)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Speed. Handles everything I throw at it. It's a Core i7 buy it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Spend the money and get a good heat sink. I went with a $25 one and got what I paid for. 50 Celsius under HEAVY load. Still well within operating temp though. Not much cooling room for me to overclock at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU its FAST!!!!

Pros: Extremely Fast not to expensive $230 some places where I got it. Will run NFL Blitz on Mame without failure Been waiting 8 years to be able to play that on mame. 4 Cores 8 virtual. This thing cant even be pushed close to full load doing anything but burn in tests.

Cons: Does not come with a fan

Other Thoughts: this thing is very reasonably priced for the performance. Run a PC repair business and this was a build for a customer who wants to PC Game he was more then happy with this cpu as was I.

2 out of 5 eggsNot a good CPU

Pros: None

Cons: WARNING: this CPU is not recognized by certain BIOS on the x79 chipset. Make sure your motherboard will be compatible out of the box.
Intel got to me.

It fried my first motherboard AZUS afer 30 days, my second motherboard BioStar.

I noticed the power supply 750 Watt starting having a bad burning smell. I dumped The System and now I am using AMD A10-5800K 3.8G FM2 on a BioStar MB and its fast and problem free and my 750 Watt PS has no burning smell.

Other Thoughts: A little Slow on running for your money buy 1155 you will have a more bang for your money.

5 out of 5 eggsBest LGA2011 cpu!

Pros: I can't think of a better proc for socket LGA2011! This thing is a champ and over clocks like a son of a gun! I've got mine running at 4.6Ghz using only a $30 after market heatsink/fan (Hyper 212 Evo - best heatsink out there for the money). The cpu rarely breaks a sweat no matter what I throw at it! Folding@Home? Check! Video Editing/Encoding? Check! Gaming? Check!
Choosing this socket also allows you a better upgrade path down the road. When Ivy Bridge-E cpus come out later this year they will be LGA2011. Socket 1155 is a dead end!

Cons: None, really!

5 out of 5 eggsHandle Anything

Pros: Can handle anything you can throw at it. Right now at any given time I have two ps3 media servers streaming movies, running 4 virtual boxs including a hackitosh (Resource Pig), ripping movies with handbrake, listening to pandora and copying hundreds of gigs of music and movies to and from the machine.

Cons: None so far, unless you consider a bios update in order to properly do some oclocking successfully. However that is a X79 Sabertooth issue not the processor itself. So yeah doing all the above without OC'in it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, vurry nice

Pros: Runs cool with a Zalman 9900Max cooler (@ 4.4 Ghz is 37C idle, 44-46C load), is GREAT for gaming. Don't be fooled by anyone saying this chip (the E series) isn't a gaming chip. I play Skyrim with all the highest quality texture mods and physics mods with maxed custom settings and it's completely smooth with no slowdowns. Of course, check other thoughts for my system config because the CPU isn't the only component doing the work.

You WILL have to buy an aftermarket heatsink and fan as this doesn't include an OEM one, but this is a plus in my opinion as OEM hs/fan usually sucks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For anyone checking compatibility, here is my system:
ASRock X79 Extreme6 LGA 2011 mobo
Zalman 9900MAX cooler
EVGA Geforce GTX 670 4Gb
Intel i7 3820 @4.4Ghz
Asus Xonar D1 sound card
Rosewill Thor V2 case
Corsair HX750 PSU
GSkill Trident 16Gb (2x8) 2400Mhz kit
Mushkin Chronos Enhanced 120Gb SSD

5 out of 5 eggsFAST

Pros: This is one fast CPU.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Other complain that there is no cooling system included; I prefer it this way as it allows me to install the exact one that I need. Most manufacturers will include a cheap heatsink or fan. Now you have a choice of the quality of heatsink you want to install.
