Pros: the pros: this little thing has some umph! i put it into my slave computer (its to test run stuff) and it booted 1st time

Cons: none really, just lack of L2 cache, but celerons are all a bit low there anyways

Other Thoughts: i run a single core celeron at 2.2GHz, and i am thinking of upgradng to a dual core wolfdale here soon so

Pros: Been running my similar single core pentium IV for almost 5 years now. Great CPU for mild computing.

Cons: My new Pent IV CPU produced random blue screens.
After much testing I determined it was the CPU.
Newegg replaced CPU and I have been happy ever since.
No blue screens over 4 years now.

Pros: I used to have two Celeron D 420 while this is the 430. They are good for low power low demands as any one who reads through these reviews. However prices have since gone up long after I had gotten them. They were some what ok overclockers given their stable 2.5ghz.

Cons: Single core well duh and often it is easy to max it out doing simple tasks. Does not go 3ghz and beyond. The coolers are a joke and a sad one at that.

Don't expect to get what you expect unless for a low end file or media server.

Pros: We have five of these running on Intel mini-ITX motherboards for our DNS servers. Quiet and low power...43W. In a 2U case, my experiments showed that we did not need any fans running. I decided to plug in the stock fan, but in 24H testing with the fan unplugged, our temperature remained low.

Cons: none

Pros: Low running temp, good performance.

Cons: none, if you understand what you are purchasing.

Other Thoughts: for years I only purchased and built AMD based systems, for the last 4+ years I have only used Intel. With only one exception, performance and operating temperature are superior in favor of Intel. Intel needs the competition, but I prefer their offerings.

Pros: Good little Overclocker. Brought it Prime95 solid at 2.5 GHz. Able to play video at 1080p at that freq. Played a few games, CSS playable on my big screen.

Cons: 2.7GHz was unstable for me, but couldn't up the voltage on my mobo.

Other Thoughts: For $40, it's not bad.

Pros: Runs my data server smoothly. Cheap

Cons: Slow but not really an issue its obvious.

Pros: overclocks to 3.2GHz on stock volts... runs crazy cool...

Cons: single core

Other Thoughts: could cost less... its kinda high priced for what it is

Cons: Rather puny all aluminum heatsink/fan that ships with it. I used an old P4 HSF on it instead for cooler operation.

Other Thoughts: I bought this cpu to make a low power headless WHS system that I could power up and "forget" about for weeks at a time. This system sits in an out of the way space behind an entertainment center quietly serving up files wirelessly .
Currently testing WHS rev 2 beta (VAIL) and it's very responsive at 2.4GHZ on a GA-G31M-ES2L rev 2.0 with 2GB memory.

Pros: not many at all vs a e3300

Cons: single core with no advanced intel power features.
junk cooler.

Other Thoughts: beware of the 35watt tdp.
that dont mean it will run cooler then a 65watt it only mean the max cooling possible.
yea i know people get this wrong when they try to compare these.
this cpu has no advanced power features so it wont run as cool as most 65 watt models due to it older design.
a celeron e 3xx class should blow this away as it dual core but has eist and other features same cache higher clock.
most newer 45nm can change clock fast and voltage so they run very well just beware more cache will be more heat.
intel dose not really make the tdp thing clear and people think lower tdp means less heat when it means the max heat output it made to handle.
with advanced power features all the cpu design tdp means really nothing if you try to compare one cpu to another.
look at what it surports in intel sites and look at power draw and heat output dont let the 35 watt fool you.
there dual and quads 65 watt models they NOT the same are they.
