5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Had it for 2 years now on my second gaming pc runs COOL! pc is never turned off in 2 years fan worked great CPU never failed post ECT

Cons: No to fast would'nt say get this spend the extra 20 bux and get the e6660 or spend teh extra 120 and get the i5 760 over clocked that to 4.2GHZ runs faster then the I7 Extreme

5 out of 5 eggsdecent processor

Pros: This processor is fast enough for most uses. I managed to overclock mine to 2.8ghz. It runs very cool with my aftermarket cooler. Many people have been able to overclock this processor over 3 ghz.

Cons: The 1mb of cache hurts performance some.

Other Thoughts: This processor offers a big bang for the buck. I am currently ordering its successor, the E5200. Pentium dual core processors are inexpensive, but they still have enough performance to be useful. If you are thinking about getting a Celeron, I would pay the extra $20 or so for much better performance.

5 out of 5 eggsIntel is a good choice

Pros: This works very fast for the price, and worked very well with the asus mother board I chose ASUS P5N-EM HDMI LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 7100/nForce 630i HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Cons: If you are looking to build a high powered gaming computer this is not the chip for you.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this chip.

4 out of 5 eggsIntel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail

Pros: good buget priced Intel chip. Runs cools and uses little power.

Cons: 775 plastic pushpins.

Other Thoughts: For the few extra purchase the E5200 Wolfdale. It is the newer technology and works better and is faster.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None, i can see (just got bad one)

Cons: DOA (intel stock fan design is awful) I consider buying aftermark fan has backet with screws.

Other Thoughts: Not impressed, I will still to AMD for my builds.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Reliable. Fairly low power consumption. Dual core. Fast enough for most uses. 64-bit.

Cons: Can't decode 1080p H.264 in real time, unless you have a multithreaded decoder, which doesn't exist for Linux. No virtualization extensions. Stock cooler is pointless ... buy a better, quieter one.

Other Thoughts: I use this CPU in my HTPC

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quick, cheap for dual-core, good with desktop apps.

Cons: Failed after 1 month. Getting an RMA with Intel is like pulling teeth from a horse

Other Thoughts: Failed for no reason. Never overheated, had not been handled since installation. Just one month goes by, and machine won't post. Purchased a second of these exact processors (because the Intel RMA process is taking forever), dropped it in the machine, and everything worked great. Obviously a bad processor, but getting Intel to own up to it is quite a feat.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Bang for buck

Pros: Runs at 30* C in my Shuttle box with ICE Heatsink and Artic Silver5 TC. Better than my C2D in a box with 4 120 mm fans and stock HS.

Cons: Stock Heatsink is almost always Garbage with Intels.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a deal!

Pros: Cool, fast, great!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Was a great upgrade over my previous CPU, a P4 Prescott 3.0 GHz. I was expecting only an improvement for multi-tasking, but even single applications are improved noticeably without any overclocking.
