5 out of 5 eggsFAST

Pros: I have had this processor since sept 05 and it is still very fast. this processor will do everything you want plus more NEWEGG ROCKS!

Cons: the motherboard i paired the processor up with like on most 775 boards had the 24 pin power instead of 20 but quick 4 dollar cable fixed this no cons on processor

4 out of 5 eggsNo Subject

Pros: Quick. HT and non 64 bit, 3.0 with a nice FSB. Which is exactly what I was looking for. I have another P4 630 and I think this actually runs better then it, but that might be due to the 64 bit driver problems with right now with windows.

Cons: Heat as usual. To everyone thats been building for a while and knows its a prescott core. Which means high temps. Strongly suggest getting a swiftech heatsink and some artic silver, with a nice fan mounted onto the heatsink. After compound kicks in temp will lower to around 38-43c idle. If your using intel stock heatsink and fan expect to idle within 50-60c

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install and runs pretty well.

Cons: Stock fan is pretty bad (can't feel any air flow at 2000 RPM). Runs at 40C idle (w/ Arctic Silver 5) with a side air duct and 80mm.

Other Thoughts: If you get this I suggest you get something other than the stock fan, especially if you plan on over clocking.

4 out of 5 eggsmy lil input

Pros: 3ghz, HT can handle two strings at a time. the OS thinks it's actualy 2 CPUs. I purchased this back in March and have been playing with it since.

Cons: overclocking potential=nonexistant. this is the reason for the 4* rating. according to Intel, it's max operating temp is 68c, and with stock settigns/hsf mine's hit 45/50c under load and when i oc'd to 3.2ghz, it was 55+!!!! that's not safe.

Other Thoughts: the hsf is sufficient if you keep this thing under 3.2ghz. I can't hear the fan over my leaf-blower video card fan. the price has staedthe same ont his thing since i bought it almost 10 months ago. i suggest you go for a 1ghz fsb CPU if you want single-core Intel.

5 out of 5 eggsruns hot

Pros: runs pretty fast.i'm not very fond with the LGA 775 cpu's but they seem to run good.

Cons: it runs pretty hot if you use the stock fan. i would get a quieter and better heatsink/fan if you have money.

Other Thoughts: watercool if you plan to overclock

5 out of 5 eggsBest processor i've ever owned

Pros: Fast. This cpu is an all around great processor. I run alot of programs (many of them at once) and this baby never seems to run slow on me. It really is the best cpu i have ever owned.

Cons: Heat. Though not really a con anymore since i whiched to a Thermaltake Big Typhoon Heatsink & Fan plus Artic Silver 5.

I was getting temps of close and sometimes higher than 70C before and i realized my BIOS was outdated so once i fixed that my temps went down almost instantly. I went ahead with the upgrades anyways because i wanted to overclock and now i can't get my temps over 45C under load and 30C idle

Other Thoughts: Newegg is the best as always. My next cpu will come from these guys as well as anything else i need for my pc.

3.0 @ 3.3Ghz stable
42.77c no temp issues at all
MSI 925xe Neo mobo
1Gb DDR2 533 (x2)

430True Power PSU
(3) Seagate 80Gb Sata Hdd

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for pice

Pros: Great performance, easy install onto motherboard, and it came with the cool Intel Inside sticker :).

Cons: Stock heatsink isnt good, but its a given that you need to get a different one with most processors.
