5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: I bought the OEM of this processor, and couldnt be happier. Its a monster with Xp, and performs fairly good with Vista.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: Overclocked to a stable 3.8 Ghz.In Windows Vista Experience index it scores 5.0

Pros: unbelievable multitasking I have it overclocked @ 3.4 I can't slow this thing down regardless of workload no reason to upgrade at this point may be when the software becomes more intensive I will upgrade but I could not be happier with this product

Cons: absolutely zero

5 out of 5 eggsGood processor

Pros: dual core. VT technology. dropped right into my asus board upgrading my celeron D

Cons: not a core 2 duo--I don't want to pay that much

Other Thoughts: I have had no problems with this cpu. All the pentium D's do get hot, but about 20C lower than the point for risk of some damage

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT CPU !!

Pros: FAST, stable, and extremely overclockable ! I love this chip. Huge dual cache, low temperatures, lots of proccessing power. People saying this CPU is not a gaming CPU are wrong, just wrong. This thing will chew thru any application you throw at it, i was running 2 instances of ShadowBane, 1 instance of Civ-3, and copying a DVD at the same time with absolutely NO SLOW DOWN !! makes Oblivion run like she should.

Cons: true it's not a shiny-new conroe core. but so what, at alot less $ and almost the same amount of power, who cares !

Other Thoughts: I don't understand where these others are getting such high temps from.

I idle at 37c from boot up, after HOURS OF GAMING, she quickly idles down to 40c. Under load she averages 47c. AND THATS OVERCLOCKED TO 3.4 Ghz !

P4 D 930 @ 3.4 Ghz
AsRock 4coredual775 mobo
Thermaltake silent 775 Heatsink/Fan
Arctic silver ceramique ( have had better results with the ceramique than the AC 5 formula )

I love this chip, save some cash by buying this instead of the 940+ series, and over clock it for the same reuslts.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great upgrade from my P4 i had (i changed the mobo too) pc used mainly for audio/video editing, but wanted something inexpensive. this did the trick!

Cons: runs a little hot for my liking. stock fan is quiet, but pins connecting it to the motherboard are poorly made.

Other Thoughts: i have a new cpu fan on the way, hopefully it will help with the temps. right now its running 45-52*C. thats with some Arctic Silver 5 too.

4 out of 5 eggsSix Underground

Pros: Stable. No night and day difference when compared to a single core, but it's fast enough for most applications.

Cons: Runs hot. Best idle I could get after trying the supplied thermal pad and 4 subsequent applications of Arctic Silver was 47C.

Other Thoughts: Budget for an aftermarket cooling solution.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: CPU cooling fan is well built and quiet.
No problems with the CPU. Heat xfer material pre-installed.

Cons: Fastners used to secure the unit to the MB are cheap and easy to bend/break. I highly recommend installing the fan unit on the MB BEFORE it is secured to the computer casing. Verify pins are in fact projecting from the bottom of the MB correctly. Intel needs to design a better fastner for the fan unit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for a mid-CPU price

Pros: Picked this CPU up for cheap and it works great. Running Orthos 12-hr stable at 4.125 stable (275x15) on a Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 with Arctic Freezer 7. Load temperatures sit around 50 degrees. Still more headroom to go with the voltage.

Cons: Haven't found any to speak of. An unlocked multiplier would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte 965P-DQ6, Intel PD 930, 2GB Kingston Valueram DDR2-667, Connect3d ATI x800GTO unlocked to 16 pipelines (550MHz/640MHz)
