forget AMD, this is what you want
- Pros: FAST Fast Fast! I upgraded from a 3.0HT and the difference is easily noticable. I believe most of the speed increase is due to the FSB speed. I went from 800 to 1066. I have this processor installed on a MSI P4N Diamond with 4GB RAM and Two 7600GTs in SLI.
Currently overclocked to 3.91 with no stability issues. Any higher and I get a freeze up here and there. Although I have heard these will overclock to 4.25+ I could not do it.
- Cons: Runs hot. I installed The Thermaltake Big Water Cooling system, and dropped my idle temps 19 degrees C and my load temp 22 degrees C. You almost must have a Watercooling system with this fast of an Intel Chip. The stock Intel fan is a joke.
- Other Thoughts: System specs

Newegg is the Best!
Zoom!
- Pros: Zooom! Away goes the the processor, it's the fastest I have ever used. It can multi-task with no problems, I ran two virus scans burned a cd and had world of warcraft on at the same time and it ran just fine.
- Cons: A little hot if you dont have water cooling.
- Other Thoughts: The price may scare some people but it's soo worth it to have a processor that can do so much.
No Problems at 4.27GHz
- Pros: Very Fast, 4.27GHz on watercooling
- Cons: Pricey but worth it
- Other Thoughts: Get Intel 975XBX Board too.
LOL to the guy who smoked it and gave it a bad review. Gave it a bad review because he feels stupid for getting coolant or Artic Silver in the LGA socket.. Or didn't mount the block correctly.. but he'll get the benefit of the doubt for that... This processor is king, just be careful mounting it. lol
