4 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: This CPU was great, just what i needed. Good performance and good cooling.

Cons: The only problem I had was the fan being really loud.

Other Thoughts: I suggest this CPU for anyone in the range of "common computer use" to "intense gaming."

5 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

Pros: cheap enough to be satisfied with the performance.
can play Ps2 emulator(lol)
good for hd play back.
stays cooler than the Core 2 duo it replaced.
I am happy with the purchase. ^.^

Cons: performance isn't as good as i thought it would be.
othre than that read the other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Ok, its basically on par with the core 2 duo (e7200 @ 3.8-4.0ghz OC) it replaced. Its far better than the C2D because of the newer options it comes with. Boot time is by far faster, smoother game play(for not being a gaming CPU), doesn't overheat at all.
I bought this as an experiment. (arcade machine)
Here is the CINEBENCH results of 3 cpus(i had on hand)

G640=2.11pts (no Overclock or turbo, because it can't and doesn't support it)

E7200=2.10pts (@ 3.750GHZ)

Athlon II 240=2.11(@ 3.8ghz)

As you can see if you are already overclocking the older dual cores, you can match this fairly easily. But in games (older games) I noticed that with this (G640) FPS is more constant, loading times are reduced by 25+%, and the emulators love it.(always constant 60fps) I am happy with my purchase ^.^.
But for someone that need a huge jump in performance I would recommend any quad core cpu before this dual core. Performance isn't there for $80.(you can buy C2Q, or PII for the same else
