5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance, simple setup

Pros: Very good instructions. Fast enough performance for the money for my project.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Little CPU that could

Pros: Low price, runs cool, great performance

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: You would be hard pressed to find an equal competitor at this price point. This CPU runs great, the HD Graphics (which this has included but not mentioned on the specs page) are fantastic for media, playing videos and even some light gaming.

Add discrete graphics and this CPU also does well for even more hardcore gaming, encoding and other heavy lifting. And at this price, it's a steal.

Coupled with some lower latency DDR3 memory, you will not be disappointed with this CPU. It's perfect for most any application, be it a gamer (albeit upgrade to a real 3D card for newer games), business, home encoding/streaming/ripping or just a multi-purpose PC.

5 out of 5 eggsCore i5 performance CPU!

Pros: Has Intel HD Graphics not mentioned in its description
I am using it with a 49' LED TV on 1080P and runs Youtube HD videos like a pro!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Is extremely fast and responsive and good for watching movies and doing basic stuff.
Haven't tested it with gaming yet, but should not be used for gaming as its cheap and doesn't have high-end features.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a bit slower than I expected but still awesome..

Pros: it's extremely reliable and relatively fast for it's price. I do believe I could have gotten a better deal on an AMD at this price range. But for reputation, reliability and longevity and being the backbone of a build, it's the wiser choice. Updates, Installations, and video encoding were BRUTAL. But I was building it for a teacher that didn't care about any of those things and she loves it! I threw in 4GB Ripjaws, Gigabyte mobo with bult in HDMI, USB 3.0, and Sata 3 capabilities and it's the best PC she's ever used!

Cons: Nada. Full PC, Monitor, Tower, Keyboard and Mouse!

Other Thoughts: With a $287 USD budget I couldn't have done much better. I downgraded on style, with a 15.99 case on sale, 9.99 PSU w/ 1 sata (which was a micro and had to be zip tied to the case), used DVD, used 500 GB HD, 49.99 refurbished flatscreen, logitech usb keyboard and mouse....$287.00!!! I also purchased 4 fans and made the most ridiculous airflow, ONE INTAKE, 3 EXHAUSTS!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Light Server CPU

Pros: Low power usage
Cool, doesn't overheat
Enough power to transcode fairly well

Cons: No AVX - speeds up linux raid
No AES - speeds up encryption
No PCI-E 3.0 - less future proof
No Hyperthreading - speeds up certain threaded workloads

Other Thoughts: Moved up from a old Pentium D. This completes audio transcodes much faster under Subsonic, and is able to keep up with transcoding Bluray rips using Plex.

5 out of 5 eggsTough little cookie

Pros: this little guy packs a punch, paired with a radeon 7770 hd it takes anything i throw at it. Successfully plays wow on medium to high settings with discrete GPU, haven't tried ultra as i find ultra sets off my OCD big time. This little guy can play battlefield 3 at medium to high settings quite well if paired with a good GPU. well worth the 80 bucks.

Cons: not a quad, not an i5,

Other Thoughts: i guess if you are doing a lot of video rendering you should look somewhere else. However if you want a cheap cpu that packs a punch and would rather spend a little more on a discrete gpu then this little guy is the way to go. you can always upgrade to some thing a bit better when you get the money and save this as a spare or build your kids a rig later on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little CPU!

Pros: This is a great little CPU. I purchased this to rebuild my daughters PC. She surf the net, does homework and light gaming. For this purpose, this CPU works great with little heat.

The CPU is running around 27c idle and 50c under load with the included stock heatsink and fan.

I got a passmark CPU score of 3364.

Cons: It works as expected, NO CONS.

Other Thoughts: For the price, this CPU packs a punch. I purchased this CPU in particular due to the fact that it didn't have any Intel HD graphics. I like My AMD/ATI cards and already had a graphics card.

Paired this CPU up with:
Gigabyte - GA-P75-D3 (Only LGA1155 Board I found with no on-board graphics).
Kingston Value RAM 4 x 4GB for 16GB DDR3 1066Mhz
AMD HD 6770

Over all I am very impressed with this CPU. Low energy, Low Heat, Low cost and coupled with great performance.

I recommend this CPU.
