5 out of 5 eggsgreat upgrade

Pros: Was a good upgrade from my 775 socket wolfdale. Wasn't sure I needed to upgrade but after 5 years of service I wanted a new rig. I was shocked by how much faster everything was. Combine this chip with a good ssd and 8 gigs of ram. My cold start to desk top takes 7 secs.

Cons: Isn't gold plated and doesn't come with 30 inch rims?

Other Thoughts: There are more expensive chips out there but the dual core I upgraded from was still plugging away at new games with little effort. game developers aren't pushing the limit like they used to so going with a more budget friendly option isn't bad right now. besides you can upgrade to I7 later if you want.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Performance

Pros: i5 processor. Might be a generation old but still rocks.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Since I already have a dedicated video, the fact his processor has no video capability meant nothing to me. The processor is such an upgrade over my older AMD 955 Black Quad Core. Thought they would be close but nope. Nice upgrade and good price to boot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for the price

Pros: This CPU is a bargain for those of us uninterested in overclocking. No, it does not have onboard graphics, but I see that as a plus. I have no intention of ever using slow onboard graphics, so I see no point in wasting money (and potentially power) on them.

This a very quick CPU and I have yet to find myself really taxing it in any task, including high end gaming. It easily feeds my Radeon 7870 GPU.

Cons: No major cons. Inability to overclock is perhaps the only con I can think of, but that's normal for any non-K series Intel CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge Upgrade

Pros: Fast
No graphics

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This was a huge upgrade from my previous i2 quad core. I use this for gaming, and in combination with my HD 6950 video card my computer can handle anything thrown its way.

Overall a great processor that has yet to reach its limit.

2 out of 5 eggsdissapointed

Pros: It was cheap

Cons: You get what you pay for. I bought this as part of a Shell Shocker deal, and at first I thought I would have to return it. I can't believe that Newegg would put a processor with no onboard graphics, together with a motherboard that requires the graphics on the chip. I thought it was defective because I wasn't getting any graphics output. Added a graphics card, and all is well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for budget power

Pros: It has nearly the same specs as an i7 model but doesn't have the built in graphics or hyperthreading. This brings the cost down without sacrificing power for those building a computer with a dedicated video card.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for price

Pros: Good speed, fast load times, with factory heatsink it idles at 32 C and under full load about 50 C. I paid 189.99 for it which was the most expensive thing I put in my system but was such a noticeable difference in speed over my dual-core pentium D.

Cons: Sucks that it doesn't support on-board video but that doesn't matter that much because I run an HD 7850 ATI.
