5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for those who don't like to OC

Pros: Ivy Bridge, 69 watts, quad core, stable, & cool.

Cons: Cannot be overclocked but you should have know this before purchasing it.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to take a break from overclocking for one build. Pre-OC this build actually scored a wee bit better then my last, almost identical, build using the k series chip.

5 out of 5 eggsi-5 can do it! LOL

Pros: i-5, quad core, intel

Cons: not an AMD, LOL

Other Thoughts: My client wanted this processor. It's fast, and my mother board has boosting options for the Intel i-5 which is awesome. This thing is a beast!

5 out of 5 eggsLoving It

Pros: Mated with an ASRock Z75 Pro3. Works great! Runs fine and cool with stock cooler, which snaps directly to the mobo. You save a couple $$ with this because it doesn't have onboard graphics, which means your motherboard video jacks will not work and you must use a video card. This build has a HD 7870 video card which takes care of the video side. Haven't worked it to the max yet but so far it runs beautifully. Works great with Steelbeasts v3 and FSX. Nice balance of budget and performance for a moderate gamer.

Cons: Could be a bit less expensive.

Other Thoughts: Build:
ASRock Z75 Pro3
Team Vulcan 8GB
64GB SSD
XFX HD 7870
So far shown to be a budget build with great performance.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: The CPU has delivered what I have come to expect from Intel. Fast responsive performance from a wide range of applications and tasks. The bundled cooler is the standard issue Intel cooler that does an ok job for day to day tasks.

Great CPU for the money!

Cons: Cooler falls short when put under pressure. It does fine with day to day tasking but when put under heavy use from gaming it gets hot. I have not had it get to a point where I am concerned about failure but will be replacing it with a better cooler.

Other Thoughts: I do not consider this a con but this CPU does no have an integrated GPU.

This means any integrated video output on your motherboard is not going to work if it requires a CPU that has a built in GPU!

5 out of 5 eggsCool and Quiet

Pros: This cpu runs very cool on the stock cooler that came with it. Super easy to install. When I say cool, I mean that under full gaming load it runs max 54C with the stock air cooler. My case is the nzxt phantom with no additional fans than what came with it. I did use a nice Antec silver paste, but all things aside it is very impressive at those temps. The performance per dollar is amazing and it runs very quiet while maintaining those temps.

Cons: About the only thing would be the inability to overclock or not having an integrated GPU. No eggs removed

Other Thoughts: For me, I knew I didn't need to overclock so I went with the best standard CPU for the price, and it delivers. I anticipated perhaps having to get a closed liquid loop for the CPU, but the temps blew me away. Like I said 54C max under gaming load. I play DayZ a lot and that is CPU intensive. The components and stock air cooler are great. Also, anyone who is putting this in a desktop most certainly has GPU for gaming so the fact that this has no GPU integrated just means you got better performance for the price. I will definitely recommend this to others.

5 out of 5 eggsBest value and gaming

Pros: Got this cause have no use for Intel Graphics on board, just slows down the cpu from clocking with non-K oc boards. Can do Overclock with Asrock special Z87 Extreme 4 boards, will go up to 3.8 all the time, no overheat on mine. With the click of a button in windows bios, is very simple and value savy.

Cons: Can't think of any, other than they should provide us to buy this without the factory heatsink for less, since most gamers will put on at least a 3 pipe heatsink/fan option for $20, could save a little that way.

Don't underrate this processor cause it doesn't have Intel Graphics, it is better that way unless you don't buy a discrete (seperate) card. And in that case, you would want to go with at least the 4000 series graphics on die.

Other Thoughts: Intel is the best right now, but good ole american competition will bring the prices down again in the future with AMD coming on strong in research and development, I hope.

4 out of 5 eggsBudget Gamer i5-3350P

Pros: 1 - This CPU can hold it's own against higher end CPU's, and for a nice price to the budget gamer.
2 - Will stay strong for a long time before needing to be upgraded, I believe.

Cons: None. If you're looking for a budget "INTEL" processor for gaming, this is about the best you can get for the price.

This may be a Con to some people (not me)...
* The "P" means that the video is locked within the CPU. You will not be able to run onboard graphics. You will need a dedicated graphics card. If your graphics card fails, you better have a back up card laying around :)

Other Thoughts: You can buy the unlocked version of this processor for 20 or 30 bucks extra. I decided to put that savings into my graphics card. After all, I could care less about onboard graphics if I'm dedicating my rig to gaming, anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent chip

Pros: Got this chip for a mid range gaming rig for my sister. Does everything she wants it to.

Cons: First chip I received was DOA. First time I have ever gotten a bad CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsSOLID

Pros: PRICE. FUNCTION.

Cons: Packing. Only thing I can think I didn't like. I wasn't a fan of they way they had the CPU in the package.

4 out of 5 eggsNo Video

Pros: Fast

Cons: When I used this chip to power my new rig I was getting no video from the onboard video. After going through the RAM process anf getting a new board shipped to me I still could not get my rig to boot. I took it to the local computer shop and they told me the video is no longer on most mother boards, it's on the chip, and this chip is the striipped down version and has no video. (he said something about the model ending with a 'P' whatever that means). Once I got a video card running the rig fired up fine.

Other Thoughts: New rig boots fast with this chip.
