5 out of 5 eggsFAST

Pros: Good enough to play many new games with high graphics settings with a cheap video card. its also very low power consumption.

Cons: no gaming without graphics card.

Other Thoughts: great if you have a energy bill to pay.

5 out of 5 eggsSips Power, free graphics, 1333mhz RAM!

Pros: Unlike the sandy pentiums and celerons (g530, g630) these are a major step up because they use 1333mhz DDR3 instead of being limited to 1066.

Cons: Not for gaming except old ones. TF2 runs great but Battlefield 3 is unplayable (4 threads required).

Good for HTPC purposes IF you have an external GPU - HD1000 graphics are not good enough to deinterlace spuce up a 1080i stream.

Other Thoughts: Great buy at $50.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap powerhouse

Pros: Wasn't expecting this level of performance for the price. Blows a lot of mid to high-end Core 2 Duo's out of the water for my particular tasks.

Cons: Seems like you're wasting your motherboard's capabilities by not getting at least a Core i3, but after some time with this CPU I don't know why I felt this way.

Other Thoughts: Got a 1155 board that needs a cheap but well-performing CPU? Here you go.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For being a celeron this is awesome, it plays lower end games on decent settings (TF2, LFD2), perfect for an HTPC or just a light gaming PC. Extremely impressed

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck cpu

Pros: Worked without bios flash on MSI Z77A-G45 and B75-G43. Passmark score of 2612 for $50! It's sufficiently fast for all necessary tasks at a bargain basement price. Idles at 32C. At 100% load, idles at 43C with stock cooler.

Cons: It probably won't be available for long before it is supplanted by other chips.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Worked fine with my MSI H61M-P31/W8 motherboard that had bios version 3.0 on it. Working with Vmware ESXI home server. Working with Corsair CMV8GX3M1A1600C11 memory.

Cons: Does not support storage passthrough to client machines but that is well documented on Intel's website.

Other Thoughts: I didn't need allot of performance and power savings was important.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I've been building computers for 15 years. In years past Celeron processors weren't worth the materials they were made with. This celeron however scores quite well on CPUboss, passmark, and the windows experience index. It's very snappy and coupled with an AMD HD 5450 video card my Blu-Ray movies play beautifully on my 1080p TV. I've played some games on it also and the video card was the bottle neck. This processor also runs super cool and has low power draw. Want bang for your buck? You CANNOT beat this processor!!!

Cons: For what it is, absolutly NONE!

Other Thoughts: Basically a gimped i3. Intel's 3 series of processors i, pentium, and celeron are all pretty much the same. if you have an i3 processor and take away hyper threading you have a pentium processor, if you then take away 1mb of L3 and the Intel HD Graphics, you have a celeron.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bang for the buck, better than the G5XX and G6XX chips from last gen. HSF is cheap, but isn't too loud. Low power consumption.

Cons: None really. Can get them a few bucks cheaper at other places, but for me, Newegg gets them to me in 1 day. Might have to update bios in older motherboards to get them to work properly.

Other Thoughts: For cheap builds, tough to beat.

4 out of 5 eggsLow Power and Low Temps= ATOM Killer

Pros: Rather weak overall performance by today's standards BUT paired with a B75 atx/matx mobo under $60 it is an excellent value. Think of all the hardware trying to be sold on "auction sites" for a pretty penny. Now think of this with a B75 for about $110 for USB 3.0., SATA 3, etc and a CPU that will do all basic desktop just fine.
[Frankly all those greedy suckers trying to get major money for the P4 and Pentium D chips at the top clock speeds as well as Socket 478 and 775 motherboards should be put out of business by this chip.]

Now I about fell off my chair when I saw this thing idle the system at 20W on my SS-860 PS. 20W? H*ly no smokes batman. Bye Bye soldered on ATOM processors for the desktop and the like.

Cons: Only 1333 memory speed. Missing some other features the i3 has. Overall relatively weak. CPU fan on heatsink not very quiet and the cord was wound too tight and hit fan upon initial start.
