5 out of 5 eggsThe little engline that could

Pros: Got this chip a while ago and it's a great chip for basic computing.
It is also a good chip for a media server. I use it to run mediabrowser on my entertainment PC with multiple clients.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Mobo-Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3
Kingston 8gb. HyperX ram
Intel on-board grapgics
Windows 8.1 Pro Media Center

5 out of 5 eggsBest thing ever

Pros: when i bought this product i was a bit low on money and needed something that would do its job and not cost much. I found this little guy on Newegg and honestly i didnt expect much out of him. But let me tell you "big things, Small Packages" this thing blew me away with its production.. i mean This truly has to be the best space heater on the market. And you just cant beat the price!!!

I turn it on and poof its immediately radiating 135 degree waves of pure love through out my house. Within 5-10 minutes my bedroom is nice and toasty warm. I cant stress to you how much i love this product. Apparently it can even do some lite computing, (im not sure though, Ive never seen it work like that before)

So if your sleeping in a cold room and don't have much money this comes highly recommended. great job Intel!

Cons: It might be responsible for the fire that burnt down my apartment, but this has never been proven.

Other Thoughts: :)

5 out of 5 eggsseems great good performance so far

Pros: well its a newer ivy bridge chipset 1155 its relatively low wattage and a dual core. its performance for being just that is impressive.

Cons: its not a 4000 series i7

Other Thoughts: overall seems like a very versatile chip by intel at a standpoint price to performance i cant complain.

5 out of 5 eggsGood inexpensive processor

Pros: Runs 26°c idle and tops out at 35°c running small fft Prime95
55watts at 2.6ghz but at 1.8ghz at .893V that's like 40Watts.
Exellent for downloading/home server/media player
I don't feel too much of a performance hit from a i7 3770k under windows

Cons: 3dmark 2001 score was half of my i7 3770K.
Not for gaming
Intel Stock fan/cooler has been under sized for decades in my opinion

Other Thoughts: I am currently running a Coolermaster Nepton 140 XL AIO cooler. my i7 3770k had a severe overheating issue and I am using this processor while my RMA takes place :-)

after I get my i7 processor back I will make a media center PC out of this processor :-)

1 out of 5 eggstrash

Pros: cheap and affordable, low wattage, two cores, fast graphic accelerator for every day application

Cons: bought two of these suckers. one was bad the other works perfect. I bought two packages and was driven crazy when my compu came with blue screens over and over and over. tried lots of different components to no avail. finally after four days of screwing around with the pc, I decided to replace the cpu and problem fixed. It is probably only the second time I buy a defective cpu.

Other Thoughts: I wasted many days trying to figure out the reason for blue screens on my new built just to find out the cpu was defective

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Good bargain, low heat dual core.

Cons: Expensive now when compared to Haswell 1150 budget CPUs for the same or less.

Other Thoughts: For building a new system from scratch, for about the same amount of money, I would recommend building a 1150 system instead of a 1155.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat low temp, low power processor

Pros: Very serviceable CPU/GPU for basic systems.
Great price/performance ratio; check cpuboss <dot> com.

Cons: Newegg cost is significantly more than Intel MSRP of USD42.

Other Thoughts: Used the G1610 in a low power home server/HTPC backend application. It works great for this purpose, and is ideal for any sort of basic computing rig. Plays 1080p H.264 video without hiccups using the embedded Intel GPU. Running MythTV on Ubuntu 14.10.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job

Pros: Cheap. Onboard video works great. Cheap.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I use this CPU as the basis for a file-sharing machine running Win 7. The machine is also used by my wife for FB, websurfing and that stupid spider solitaire game. Performance is better than I had hoped - perfectly servicable for web tasks, including browser games. Onboard video plays massive HD .mkvs with no issue. Very pleased.
