5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: I've really been surprised with the power of the CPU. Initially I thought I was under powering my machine by purchasing the CPU but I'm happy to be proven wrong. It's taken everything I can throw at it and not even broken a sweat.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsIntel best deal, IMO

Pros: I'm not own this CPU but it is obvious Intel had a grand slam with this CPU. Well I bought from Newregg the i7-4790k and my old CPU is an Athlon 64 Denmark dual core still working out perfectly. I play Crysis 3 without a hitch with my Power Color 512MB AGP GPU with a FPS around 30 high settings If you own the i7-4770k or the i5-4570k please don't upgrade and wait for the SkyLake new technology (14nM fab and the new Maxwell GPU 20nM fab). I think that's the right way.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: See PROS.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple to Setup Fast & Reliable

Pros: 6mo w/out any issues. Running with ASUS Z87 mobo & no graphics card. Integrated graphics are fine for a home office. Fast and reliable. Decided to not get the unlocked version, but kept the Z87 because of its reviews and price.

Cons: Win 7 Home 64bit has attempted on several occassions to upgrade Intel Core i5 graphics driver and it always fails. Not sure what's going on here, so I've disable that update. Operationally, there aren't any issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Easy Instalation, Runs anything I need it to

Cons: Easy Instalation, Runs anything I need it to

Other Thoughts: I used this processor on my first build. I was going to buy the i5-4670K but because I'm not overclocking and it's only 0.1 GHz faster, it's not worth the extra money personally.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat, but...

Pros: fast, no problems installing, and stays cool.

Cons: bad audio driver support for Linux. Intel snd-hda I believe it is called. I got cleat audio only by using the hdmi port and the audio out on my tv.

5 out of 5 eggsMy First Intel

Pros: FAST.
Easy to instal
Came with a blue sticker.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I have run AMD processors since my first K7S5A, as the performance to cost ratio was always worth the decreased performance IMO. With the current generation AMD no longer has that advantage, so I caved and purchased an i5. I came from a quad core 3.4 phenom Black to this, and it is hands down better. I realize that it is generations ahead of the Phenom, but the performance difference is mind blowing. I am running the same, GTX460 i ran on the AMD and I have even noticed frame rate increases on my games. I may not buy another AMD.

5 out of 5 eggsIntel Leads The Pack

Pros: Stable, fast, low power for the power (lol that sounds funny).

Cons: About twice the cost of AMD...

Other Thoughts: I can't speak for the integrated graphics, I have not used it. The 84w is honest. I have a gtx 760 and this cpu, and I never even use half of my 450 watts of power. Props to Intel for pursuing lower power technology, future tech here.
