5 out of 5 eggsReliable, cool

Pros: Runs well, stays sub 50 under heavy gaming load. Have not prime benchmarked, but this cpu has been reliable and fast for the price. Wouldn't have minded going with the 4670K for a bit of overclocking since it runs so cool stock.

Cons: None that I can think of. Handles things well.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, but hot

Pros: Works perfectly, easy install.

Cons: It likes to get as got as Uma Thurman in a bikini. With stock cooler, I am idling at 50C, gaming it hits 80+, that's no good. I had to disable turbo to prevent it from going to 3.8Ghz, which it LOVES doing even when it does not need to. With turbo disabled, I am getting far more reasonable temps under load.

Other Thoughts: If you get the K series, you need to get at least an H50 to cool that thing, the stock fan hardly cools this thing at its stock frequency. If you are not gaming or video rendering/digital design, something along those lines, then you are fine with stock cooler, otherwise, upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: This CPU runs very well. It has no problem running any game. It handles other CPU intesive tasks very nicely and with speed. The integrated graphics is better than Intel has released in the past, though I dont use it, I did try it out for a day just to test it and was pleased.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I could not have asked for more in a CPU. This is not the K model and as such will not overclock as well as the K model. The LGA 1150 pins will not work on most older motherboards, so be careful. Cooling fans for LGA 1155 will work with 1150 which is really helpful if you have an expensive cooling setup for older processors.

5 out of 5 eggsBest gaming chip for the price.

Pros: Vary fast and great application load management.
Cool operation even with stock fan.
Very low energy consumption.
Amazing performance with games while using SLI.
I have yet to find a way to slow the chip down under multiload application.

Cons: Un-able to overclock this chip, however it does not need to be.

Other Thoughts: I spent a few days researching the best CPU performance for the cost when it comes to gaming and discovered that the i5 chips are the way to go. Due to their low energy consumption, low heat production, and amazing load management. This chip will be good for years to come.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works very well

Pros: Price
3.4 GHz (plenty fast enough for what I do)
On-board graphics processor - which I used to install windows and even played a few games prior to installing it inside my case and installed the dedicated video cards I had for the pc build.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Very good price for the performance - AMD is looking less and less attractive to me. I had previously sworn by AMD because of their low price for very good performance.

5 out of 5 eggsAMD fan boy

Pros: looks to work well seems to do what it claims this is my first intel build so I cant compare to other intel chips. seems to do somewhat better all around than my ''LAST'' AMD AM3+ so with that I am happy with it

Cons: now I wonder if I should have spent on hyper threading?? don't know if it would have been worth the extra 100 but now I wonder so next time i'll do an I7 and see

Other Thoughts: I cant realy see anything to knock this chip installed in a asrock extreme6 and ripjaws x 2x8 1600 c10 memory and runs smooth and stable from first power on and that's more than I can say for all my amd builds in the ''PAST''. for a first time intel build my components went together well and had to do nothing but run it right from first boot what more can I say ..

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: - So far no issues
- Chews through every game I have thrown at it
- Does just fine with 1080p video editing on Adobe Premier
- Basically this thing has done everything I have asked it to do with no issues

Cons: - Stock fan sucks but we all know that. Just spend the money and buy a decent water cooler and some good TP. With a good cooler this cpu will hit 60c under load. With the stock fan it was getting into the 90c range.

Other Thoughts: Overall great chip. If you are not planning to OC your cpu than this thing is great. For gaming I would argue that this cpu is more than adequate. If you have extra money to burn than buy an i5 and spend the rest on a pricy gpu. Playing games like BF4, Witcher 2, Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider this cpu barely breaks a sweat on my modest rig.

System:
- HD 7950
- 8 GB DDR3 RAM
- 1 TB HDD
- Windows 8.1
