5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT

Pros: Six months going, I'm still using the stock cooler (yeah, yeah, I know) & I've never had a single issue. Takes everything I throw at it & keeps on going. I'm no benchmarker, but real-world performance of this thing is phenomenal.

Cons: Nothing. Nada. Haven't had so much as a hiccup.

Other Thoughts: Quite an improvement over the old Core2 Duo & Phenom II X2, but that really goes without saying, doesn't it?

5 out of 5 eggsPerfection maybe

Pros: This cpu is very OC'able IMO mines has run stable at 5.2GHz running prime 95 for 10 minutes it did get extremly hot even with an H100i on it it was around 200 F

Cons: i would say price but the performace is here.

Other Thoughts: It was cool to see my i7 4770K run at 5.2GHz but day to day i dont have it o/c at all. This thing has plenty of power to run normal apps, web, etc it also scales amazing when not under load ive seen it drop down under 800MHz to save power.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns great

Pros: -Easy to overclock
-No overheating issues at 3.9 GHz
-Runs fast and efficient

Cons: -none so far

Other Thoughts: Plan to increase the OC, currently at 3,9 GHZ and runs from 31-48 degrees with the Corsair H80i cpu cooler

5 out of 5 eggsGreat choice

Pros: Great when paired with Z97 Asus motherboard. Easy to overclock.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I debated waiting for 4790K, but went with proven winner. And price hasn't fallen off, indicating it's still a strong buy.

5 out of 5 eggsMore than enough!

Pros: 1st would be that the k is an overclocker's dream. Mine overclocks to 4.3 with just basic adjustments, none of the real exotic fine tuning. Work load it can handle, Start up times with the operating system loaded on a SSD is lightning fast. Middle high price point but as fast as anything on the market.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: For the price the best all round buy I think for the money if you are building a high end system.

5 out of 5 eggsi7 ftw

Pros: Easy install. Got it on sale for 315. What else can I say? It's up to the user to do the overclocking.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsStrong and fast

Pros: Very fast
Able to be overclocked easily

Cons: Runs very, very hot.

I have to take the side off my Antec 300 or I get a thermal shutdown while playing BF4. And that is with a Zalman 9500.

Other Thoughts: Probably the best bang for the buck as far as mid/upmarket goes. Sure, you can pay more, but your benefits are marginal compared to the price increase.

3 out of 5 eggsThis MIGHT be a good purchase

Pros: I have no idea as it will not work with the Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H out of the box

Cons: Impossible to tell yet. This I guess this is a review of the motherboard and not this chip but I wanted to warn others of what to expect.

Other Thoughts: This CPU seems to need BIOS version7 on the Gigabyte board that appears to ship with BIOS 5 although advertised to work together. No way to upgrade without using a CPU sacrificial CPU that does work first.
