5 out of 5 eggsCore i3 3250

Pros: 3.5ghz dual core hyperthreading! Great bang for the buck! 7.3 WEI 7 score! Easy installation

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If your not planning on buying a graphics card I would suggest the 3245 or 3225 which have the hd4000 graphics. This is a great processor for a mid range gaming rig. If you're not spending over $200 on a graphics card this wont be a bottleneck.

5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: Quick, dual core, graphics onboard--not much to dislike about this.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For anything outside of a gaming or video editing machine, this is a very competent processor. You don't have to spend the money for an i7 to get a good, fast computer

3 out of 5 eggsWorks but...

Pros: Works well.

Cons: Fan was DOA, probably because NEWEGG used it to protect the other contents of the box..

Hey Newegg, bubblewrap is dirt cheap.

Other Thoughts: Worth the price when on special... but I would buy elsewhere. I had to buy an aftermarket fan to get it going over the weekend. Thanks newegg!!!

4 out of 5 eggsOne of the best

Pros: -2nd Highest clock speed of any modern dual core CPU
-Acceptable on-board graphics

Cons: -Locked multiplier
No PCI-E 3.0 support

Other Thoughts: Great CPU for the Price, and being the best i3 of its generation and all the generations prior I find minimal difference between a Haswell system and an Ivy Bridge system of this tier. Theres a lot of confusion surrounding the on-board graphics of these types of CPU's. In short if you don't want the on-board graphics then just pretend they aren't there. On-board graphics do not detract from your after market graphics card in the slightest, You are outputting through your graphics card and as such your OS will not utilize the CPU's graphics. If you want to be doubly certain the on-board graphics are not impacting CPU performance you may uninstall or opt to never install the on-board graphic's driver in the first place. Device manager will show an error and this would only further confirm that it is not functioning. With all this said the on-board graphics are a great safety net in case of video card failure and should not be seen as a negative.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Dual-Core

Pros: If you are building a small, home PC, this is what you want. Super fast, snappy Dual Core CPU. Low power and isn't too expensive! It's Intel. You can do alittle better with HD graphics, but if you have a video card, then this is perfect. Runs games really well too! Haven't had any problems with games.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!!

Pros: I got this for my sister who plays WoW and Rift. She doesn't have tons of cash so I used this as the heart of her system and what a surprise. I was able to max out the graphics on her system in WoW. Now she doesn't have to play "Foggy WoW" as she called it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If this was an unlocked CPU I'm very sure that it would blow away most core i5 and i7 systems in OC and frame rates in most games as many don't make very good use of more than two cores. I really wish Intel would make a K series of this without the graphics portion on the die.
