5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: This is an AMAZING processor! It has a lot of power, and is extremely wonderful for HEAVY multitasking, and running heavy games at the same time.

Cons: No cons from me!

Other Thoughts: If you are running out of processor power, this is a very nice upgrade! Most of the time i don't use more than 30% of its power, but when I do need the power, it is always ready to blow away applications I throw at it! :D

5 out of 5 eggsmy first hex core

Pros: Six cores, hyperthreading, unlocked and 40 lanes available for PCIe. I got this on sale on black friday weekend. It's part of a major upgrade for my gaming rig. I now can enjoy true PCIe 3.0 SLI @ 16/16 and a physx card also at PCIe 3.0 x 8. I've noticed quicker boot times and faster load times and of course about 10-20 more fps in 4k(now avg 40-60 fps) and near solid 120-200 fps in 1080p with most nvidia settings max'ed. My previous CPU was a 2600k on a Z68. I have it OC'd to 4.18 and may push it farther but with 6 cores I doubt its really needed. I know the v3's are out but the increased cost of ddr4 seemed to costly when I was able to reuse my previous memory for this.

Cons: Still pricy but you get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Dependable, overclockable, 12 treads

Cons: Intel 8 core is out now( today's date is 11/20/2014) , and this is still just under $600 -over priced IMO! :(

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from i7-3820 to this one almost a year ago to get better rendering times in C4D and to my disappointment, those 2 extra cores (4 threads) didn't really do, that much difference. But on the good side, my last render took 74 hours and this thing was running at 100% maxed out no problems what so ever. Unless bad storm cuts of your power down, this chip will not let you down.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: It overclocks itself at 4.1 MHz combined with my mobo P9X79 WS at high performance it is at that speed.

temperatures with my water cooler H100i are great, between low 20s and high 30s and when gaming around middle 30s to middle 40s.

Cons: non so far

Other Thoughts: my rig is this:
Mobo: ASUS P9X79 WS
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified 1000W
VGA: EVGA ACX Cooler GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K Ivy Bridge-E 6-Core 3.4GHz
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB
Driver: SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256BW 2.5" 256GB SATA III
Seagate NAS HDD ST2000VN000 2TB 64MB
Cooling: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i

I have everything at default right out of the box, i haven't done any overclocking at all and my mobo is at "high performance" mode and the CPU overclocks itself at 4.1MHz which is pretty cool. It is super fast and I upgrade from a Dell Inspiron laptop which I have for 6 years!
I might got little crazy buying this super PC that I might never use its full potential, but I needed that upgrade, and im very happy.

With some gaming and regular PC use, and some photoshop it burns around 50-80watt the whole system.

5 out of 5 eggsi7-4930K

Pros: Great performance overall. Upgraded from i7-3820 Quad-Core. This CPU runs cooler and even to the naked eye is a step up in performance from the i7-3820. I originally purchased the 3820 for a temporary solution until the smaller packaging of Ivy Bridge-E was released. I'm not sorry for either purchase. The i7-3820 was great the whole time I was using it, and the i7-4930 is the perfect replacement!

Cons: No cons at all!

5 out of 5 eggsIt does what I want before I know what I want.

Pros: Without a doubt the best CPU I've ever owned. Granted, it's not cheap, but it handles everything with easy, without running too hot (on air cooling nonetheless).

Cons: You're kidding, right?

5 out of 5 eggsScreaming Fast & Easy OC

Pros: This is an amazing CPU. 6 cores destroys my games, vm's (web/sql) and productivity software. Video editing is a breeze. OC'd to 4.1 @ 1.32v and this thing eats everything I throw at it.

Cons: It's expensive but that's not a con if it meets your requirements.
