4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As with all Intel chips the proc is quite powerful, even for a dual core. The price to power ratio was "ok", but certainly better than the AMD chips available (A series) for the Mini ITX build HTPC

Cons: The HD 4600 graphics are no better than what AMD had on the market two years ago. It doesn't support audio over HDMI off the Mobo, and had HELLA problems with the 4600 driver causing a bios screen restart loop. The windows "update" driver causes the issue as well, so be sure to use ONLY the driver provided with your Mobo. (using an ASRock mobo) I would suggest having a video card around just in case.

Other Thoughts: The proc runs pretty hot, particularly in small cases. This one idles over 50C, so an aftermarket cooler is definitely needed if it will fit inside your application.

*Edit 4/9/16
I ended up swapping this proc to a different mobo and it mostly resolved the issues I was having with the 4600 driver. I say mostly, in that I still could not find and windows wouldn't auto update to a driver that would both work AND provide HD sound. I ended up finding a Microsoft driver update tool that found me the correct driver.
I ended up trickling down an HD7770 dedicated graphics card to this machine. It is being used as a server/htpc build and has stood up really well for the past year.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good cpu for budget gaming and everyday use!

Pros: -Very fast performance
-Hyper-threading technology simulates having 3 to 4 cores
-DDR3 support
-Intel HD 4600 graphics
-22NM Microarchitecture with 54W thermal design power (lower cpu temperatures under load)

Cons: -Running too many apps at once sometimes causes freezing of applications (Program is not responding) or the system will lock up and computer must be rebooted)
-Intel HD 4600 graphics is no good for full screen gaming applications...(cpu will malfunction and cause a system shutdown to protect hardware - this happened to me frequently).

Other Thoughts: I play World of Warcraft with this cpu and get decent performance in game (Intel Core i3-4300 Haswell Dual-Core 3.5 GHz cpu, Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti, 8Gb DDR3-1600 Ram).
This is a good cpu for everyday use and entry level to mid level gaming builds in my opinion.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat processor

Pros: For basic operations on a computer, as well as handling dual tv hookup, has worked very well. Very smooth and quick processing, with a small SSD you get great performence. Very much worth the price!

Cons: For what your paying, it is excellent.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the moeny

Pros: This CPU is really good for everyday use, budget gaming builds and is a all around good CPU. I combined it with a gtx 960 and i can play any game on high settings with out my system getting to hot. Also there is low power consumption and it will rarely exceed 75% usage ever.

Cons: This is a budget CPU, as so don't expect anything near an i5 or i7 performance wise. as i have stated in the Pros, it rarely exceeds 75% and usually one core is doing most of the work. so this make me think we is it holding back all that extra performance

Other Thoughts: All in all this is a great cpu, does everything i could ask and need. So that makes me feel that this is a good product for everyone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat desktop graphics, finally!

Pros: PLENTY fast for a desktop system.

Cons: None for what it is billed to be.

Other Thoughts: I built my wife a desktop type system when her (my old) gaming ASUS SLI-Deluxe PC died. As gaming PC's are WAY overkill for Email / web usage and light games, I decided to built to suit her real world use;
i3-4330 3.5 GHz CPU
ASRock X97 extreme 4 MB
Onboad CPU graphics
Onboard Sound
8 MEG GSkill 1866 RAM
W7 64 bit HOME

I used an 850 pro as I can max out its performance and ALSO expect a decent life as an OS drive. I keep my PC's for YEARS till they die, so life is as important as speed. Cost is now reasonable, too, on this sized drive. Her old 1 TB Seagate went to the file position as a data drive.

The 1866 memory is overkill 1600 would be fine except that the 1866 was the same price for some reason. I set it to XMP for 1866 only. No CPU overclock.

Does this system work? MUCH better than I expected. Compared to an MSI P55-GD80 1156 socket i7-870 SATA 2.0 W7 64 bit system, it matches it in all but accelerated graphics used in my game PC (AMD 6870 card)
Her is the data; i7-870 then the i3-4330;
CPU 7.5 / 7.3
MEM 7.5 / 7.7
W7 7.8* / 6.7 - *aided by 6870
Gaming 7.8* / 6.7 - *aided by 6870
HDrive 7.4 / 7.9 - BOTH are SAMSUNG 850 PRO SSD's

Of course, heavy duty work will use four cores verses two (both with hyper-threading) but still, this CPU is an ideal design for a decent desktop home system. A few seconds to encode a music RIP isn't an issue at home. Maybe twenty a day, but not casual use. STOCK fan and runs at 30C.

Also, the on board Intel 4600 graphics are excellent, finally! I bought the almost the "best" i3 CPU to get the 4600 series graphics and it paid off handsomely. The PC is a X97 ASRock Extreme 3.0 motherboard with ZERO daughter cards. Can you say NO NOISE. Can you hear me now? Yes, you can!

So if you are Leary of an i3 CPU, or are afraid they can't perform, don't be. At least with the 4330. Check the performance and be realistic to your needs. EVEN if you are a gamer, adding a graphics (AMD or NVIDIA in cross fire / SLI if you must) daughter card, this system will ROCK. Most games are card limited over CPU anyway.

So kudos to Intel for the better desktop graphics. Yes, I have an NVIDIA GTX260, but why add the NOISE and power draw? I also have a Creative Labs Audigy sound card but heck, the MB sound is more than fine with her speakers.

So this i3-4330 is excellent used as intended. Makes my older i7-870 feel the heat on the home network, that's for sure!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Speed

Cons: Expensive

Other Thoughts: I am an Intel person so I don't mind paying a premium price for a superior product. I would put this CPU head to head with any quad core in the same price range easy. This thing really does perform well. I used this in a gaming build and I do a lot of productivity as well and I can say that I have never had a slow down or lag occur.

5 out of 5 eggsBueno

Pros: I coupled this processor with an asrock h97-itx/ac board and used the stock intel cooler in a coolermaster elite 110 case. My temperatures on coretemp at idle are low 30s and under load are mid 50s. The temps are a little spikey but nothing seems out of hand so looks good to me.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsgreat CPU

Pros: Fairly cheap
Powerful enough for average use
Stay cool
Uses very little electricity

Cons: Bad stock cooler

Other Thoughts: I was building a cheap PC to stream a 1080p webcam 24/7.

ASRock H97M Pro4
Intel i3 4330
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)
Mushkin 60GB SSD

I built the entire thing for less then $300 (I already had a case and power supply) and it performs really well. It streams using Open Broadcaster software at 1080p @ 30fps no problems. Using about 70% of the CPU power. The CPU temp are in the mid 30C to low 40C. While straming. Using less then 40w for the entire system.
