5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: I put this i3-4130T my Q97 Asus motherboard for an HTPC/Win 7 Home server (Windows Home Server 2011 didn't support Media Center)

This i3-4130T runs at 3.1GHz on full load. Not sure why it's rated at 2.9GHz? Maybe to pad power saving stats of 35-watts? Not a con for me, so I didn't put in cons section, but may be a con for others.

Cons: No real cons. It is higher priced that the faster chips you can disable/lower features to get lower power rates. Probably lower than 35-watts. But you need a more expensive motherboard with the extra features to really get the most bang for the buck, but risk cpu instability. I just went with the T model for security reasons and just paid the extra.

Other Thoughts: Like others, I put my 4770 copper core heatsink on this for extra cooling. Not sure of any difference as I didn't measure. But normally Intel plans their cooler to run about 60ish on full load and this ones barely sees low 50s.

I put a video card (GTX 750 Ti) for basic 3d gaming for whenever I felt like playing on the big screen. But my quicksync stopped working. It turned out quicksync is disabled if nothing is plugged into the integrated motherboard video ports. I found a guide that lets you go to the screen resolution page and lets you drag the shaded out secondary monitor and pull it to the lower portion of the screen and it enables the VGA port and then quicksync works after installing integrated graphics driver.

3 out of 5 eggsOne user's experience

Pros: Great CPU and extremely efficient. Power bill dropped $10 per month using this as server CPU. Will pay for itself and the mobo over time in energy savings.

Cons: Per newegg policy nothing bad may be stated about the service of Newegg's operation partners (FedEx, UPS, ... etc.). Accordingly, there are no cons.

Other Thoughts: None that can be stated.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great quick low power CPU

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Installed this in a media center box that's on 24/7. The entire Computer only uses 55w of power at max load. The integrated video is plenty to watch 1080p recorded tv. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to build a low power media PC.

5 out of 5 eggsThe whole computer idles at 28 Watts!

Pros: This processor is fantastic for a computer that is ON all the time. The power consumption is very low and the performance seems good.(I'm not a gamer so your results may be different. The whole computer idles at 28 Watts!!

Cons: The fan that comes with the CPU is noisy at top speed, however, this processor does not need that much cooling. I went into the BIOS and changed the CPU fan operating to run much slower and it cools the CPU just fine at low speed.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to build a PC based DVR system. I am using the following parts to get these results:
(1) Western Digital AV-GP WD10EURX (HDD)
(1) G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL (4GB RAM)
(1) BIOSTAR B85MG (motherboard)
(1) SeaSonic SS-300ES (power supply)
(1) GeoVision GV-800B video capture card
No graphics card, leveraging integrated graphics
No CDROM either.... I plug in a USB version to load software then remove it.

While compressing(H.264) and storing 4 full D1 resolution NTSC video feeds to disk the power consumption for the whole computer increases to 36 Watts. I believe there is also lots of reserve horsepower I can tap if I want to add more cameras.
Very pleased with the results.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: So far so good. Running in a mini-ATX Asrock H81M mobo, 8Gb Crucial "Sport" RAM, 120 Gb Crucial SATA 3 (6G) SSD. OS is Win7 Home Premium. Runs fast and quiet. Used as an entertainment center in the living room. Boots wicked fast, around 20 seconds.

Cons: None so far. I highly recommend this processor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Quick, low power, small CPU fan

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I put together a new computer for my mother-in-law because XP is EOL. I chose this CPU because it was small and low power. This went into a mini-ITX motherboard. My mother-in-law loves the PC and frequently remarks how quick it is. She mostly browses the web and does email, so this setup works fine for her

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for HTPC

Pros: 35W at load = virtually silent air cooling.
HD 4400 integrated graphics works great (but you probably already knew that).
No discernable lag in performance despite low power.

Cons: Intel's graphics driver lacks some configuration options and takes some poking around to find what you need. If you're using this for HTPC/video purposes, be sure to disable "dynamic contrast enhancement."

Other Thoughts: Some argue you should get a regular i3 and downclock rather than pay a premium for the "T" version. For my part, I'm quite happy not to fiddle with it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Was just what I needed for my Nintendo computer build. This baby has a nice low wattage and boast amazing graphics quality as well. I was not able to fit a graphics card because my build was inside an old Nintendo so I needed a little CPU that had nice graphics and I have to say wow! Runs any netflix show youtube video or any other video form at full 1080p HD within a second. Nice and cool and quite too(with the right heatsink.

Cons: The heat sink fan is a little small but I had another intel i5 heat sink fan that was a little bigger and allowed for nicer temps. Still very silent though.
