5 out of 5 eggsIntel tryout.

Pros: After running AMD chips for years, I decided to try an Intel upgrade set up. So far I am impressed with the numbers. Assembled a Z87 gaming rig using this chip and a H60 corsair cooler. The numbers are impressive for a 3.0Ghz. Entry chip. ESO, GTA V, and Skyrim all on Ultimate. Using the same 2gig HD 6970 as with the AMD. Increased the fps to 50 across the board. very nice.

Cons: No real cons as I am not planning on an O.C, once the prices on the Haswell "k's" drop might upgrade and o.c then. AMD'S never had a lock. Intel should follow suit.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for a low-cost server.

Pros: Works without issues in NAS4Free and FreeNAS.

Speed rating is a nice round number.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Using this in a NAS4Free build, it handles 4 drives in RAIDZ2 and SMB without breaking a sweat.

Transfer speeds average 100MB/s over a crossover cable.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper bargain, to the rescue!

Pros: Fast Fast fast!
Easy to install.
Doesn't get hot.
One hell of a price for this much power. also 60 bucks isnt that much anyways.
and it comes with everything you need to install it ( manual , cord and pre applied thermal paste)

it can play league of legends on high settings, no problem.

Cons: It doesn't have any cons for me to add to the con list.

Other Thoughts: I combined this with a gtx 750 TI and 8gb of ram, and it can play any game at 60fps if your settings are low. and can play many games at max settings with 60fps.

I bought this for league of legends and it plays it perfectly. It can even play bf4 smoothly if on minimal settings.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU

Pros: Fast delivery.
Low priced, powerful CPU that is being used in a new build for a customer.

Cons: There are no cons.

Other Thoughts: Used this for a new build for a customer.
With the 120 gb SSD and 4 gb of DDR3 RAM, Windows starts in 9 seconds to the desktop! All apps pop open so fast, they can hardly get out of their own way.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Flawlessly

Pros: Runs cool, lower power consumption.

Cons: Not the fastest CPU in the world.

Other Thoughts: The specs are well documented. Benchmarks can be easily had. You should know exactly what you are getting. That being said, this CPU has been working flawlessly in my FreeNAS server for months.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great processor for the price, and I'd wager more than enough for like 90% of the computing population out there that simply wants to read e-mails, surf the web and watch Netflix or what not, quietly, cheaply, efficiently.

I'm using mine in a FreeNAS build, on a SuperMicro X10SLM+-F board. Absolutely lovely for that purpose. The step up for me would be the Xeon series, but I didn't need that level of processing power, and honestly, for the vast majority of FreeNAS users, I'd say the same applies.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I've heard mixed reviews about those stock Intel coolers. Myself, I just about never use a stock cooler - always aftermarket. Since they've come to the North American market, my choice is almost always Be Quiet! hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Processor For Price!

Pros: Great little processor! Currently using it for my HTPC and it can take everything I throw at it. The on-board graphics have no issues running movies, SNES/N64 emulation all at 1080p. MadVR (high quality SD upscale) runs at mid-high settings with no issues. All the audio/video can reclock to 23.9xx hz..

Cons: Only issue I had was originally with Kodi the colors seemed washed out playing SD DVD. This is where I read up on external players using MadVR. Eventually I went back to the integrated Kodi player and the color issue was fixed. Determined it was best to leave the Intel HD settings all at "application preference", and I limited color space in Kodi.

Other Thoughts: For the price you can't go wrong. Haven't tested 4k video, but I'm told it shouldt have any problem.
