So far so good, both of them
- Pros: Been very stable so far. Surprisingly the stock heatsinks perform quite well in my Silverstone KUBLAI case. Mid 30's idle and mid 40's under load, into 50's rarely.
Running two of thse on Asus Z7S, 8GB ECC DDR2-800, ATI FireGL 8600, and many other goodies. No problems with power demands, nothing to worry about though with the XCLIO GreatPower 1200W PS.
So far overclocked to 3.6Ghz stable. Been pushed to 3.9 however memory became too hot and was very unstable. Ordered a mem cooler and that should fix that to see what these things can really do.
Ran a 32000+ with Nuclearus at 3.5Ghz, and ran SuperPI 32Million in 16.5min.
- Cons: Very limited choices on alternative cooling options. Water cooling may be the only way to go until better heatsinks are available
VERY expensive. Im not sure why these are so expensive compared to some of the other quad cores that perform about the same way.
