Great CPU
- Pros: WOW runs cool make everything smoother games, apps, installs everything. Great O/Cing chip boots at 4.0 auto voltage evga 780i mobo 6000 cpu score on 3dmark06 couldnt be more impressed with this chip
- Cons: Price why is more expensive that the 920 i7 really makes no sence .
- Other Thoughts: If your looking for a nice 775 quad chip this is the one for you I will buy xeon from now on.
Decent CPU! A Good Buy
- Pros: One of the fastest CPU's I've ever seen, and my first Quad-core chip! Makes my games and apps go zoom, especially with a 1GB graphics card in my custom-rig.
- Cons: CPU runs a little hot on my computer, even with a Zalman fan and thermal compound.
- Other Thoughts: If you plan to buy this CPU, make sure you get a good thermal compound and a cooling system that can handle this baby! Also make sure you have a good air circulation around it.
Amazing!
- Pros: Fastest CPU I've ever owned. Overclocks extremely well. Increased my build times (I'm a software developer) significantly over my old overclocked dual core xeon (E3110).
- Cons: Runs hot. I've got mine watercooled running at 4.275Ghz but under prolonged gaming sessions it reaches as high as 68C. That's watercooled too and only at 1.35v :(
- Other Thoughts: Paired with a GA-EP45-UD3R, 4gb overclocked OCZ Flex-XLC 1150s, Velociraptor 300Gb, and an overclocked Sapphire 4870x2 w/ 2Gb GDDR5.
