Pros: Number of cores - 32/64 cores/threads per board.
Crazy fast for php/rails backend servers

Cons: Price, Only difference from this and the E5-2680 that is 1/2 the price is the max number of processors(4v2).
Would of liked a 3Ghz 4x8 core processor.

Other Thoughts: Just a note to anyone buy one of these: Unless you have a board with 3/4 2011 sockets, get the E5-2680. Same processor, the E5-4650 supports 4 CPUs on one board, where the E5-2680 only supports 2.

Pros: Exceptional CPU for intensive applications such as protein modeling.

The improved power management introduced in the Sandy Bridge EP provides the best of both worlds, computational horsepower and improved energy efficiency

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: Unintelligent and / or uninformed users who are just looking for a chip to play video games should probably restrict their pointless reviews so that they don't further demonstrate their ignorance.

Pros: I am so glad I purchased this. It's definitely worth the money. I had to tell my landlord that I was fired and couldn't afford to pay rent for a while, but telling a lie was definitely worth this thing.

Cons: My landlord will have to eat off the dollar menu for a while.
