5 out of 5 eggs4790K 4.0 GHz

Pros: I have to say I LOVE this CPU, it really crushes everything I ask it to do.

Cons: Runs a little warm with the stock heat sink/cooler, so I would suggest a closed loop liquid cooling solution. Not worth taking an egg off for though.

Other Thoughts: Wish it came in 6 core, before the change in socket.

5 out of 5 eggsSO amaaaazing

Pros: This is the third processor I have put in an employees system. This one is in an Engineers machine so I hooked up a water cooler and OC'd the balls out of it. WOW. Seriously, SO easy to overclock and so stable. Very impressive processor. Easy installation and setup. Super speed, legit benchmarks. I didn't use the integrated graphics but I have used them on other builds using this processor and it is wonderful. More than acceptable for the application. Runs anything with ease. Also Benchmarks well.

Cons: Runs warm when not liquid cooled even when not OC'd so be ready to replace the garbage stock fan it comes with. It's not TOO hot, and if you aren't using the integrated graphics, which are stellar btw, you won't need to replace the fan. Still gets my 5 stars.

5 out of 5 eggsshould have went with intel a long time ago.

Pros: destroys my old amd phenom x2 965 quad core black edition. performs like its supposed to. insanely fast. no problems with cooling, but I do have an after market cooler master hyper 212 evo cpu cooler

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: didn't think that going from amd to intel would be this crazy of a difference you get what you pay for. noticed a lot of people saying this cpu over heats mine is overclocked to 4.4ghz and it sits at 34c idle on games goes up to 40c

5 out of 5 eggsUnlucky

Pros: Great processor. Comes stock 4.0 and will turbo to 4.4. Stays decently cool with my Cooler Master 212 Evo

Cons: I got pretty unlucky with mine only being able to push it to a 4.5 stable. Others will get luckier and some may somehow get worse off than myself.

Other Thoughts: Overall it is a good little chip but I wish they were more consistent overclockers from chip to chip.

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic

Pros: runs cool and fast! what else is there to say? running like a champ for over a year.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: i paired it with the noctua nh-u12s cooler on an asus z97m-plus board and now added the sm951 pcie m.2 ssd, absolute bliss!

5 out of 5 eggsSpeedy

Pros: Overclocked to 4.4 Ghz very easily. Not overheating. Got to 4.4 on the first try and see no need to go further.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I stuck with mainstream components. A Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO fan , MSI PC-Mate Z97 mobo, 16 Gb of G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 memory. With a 10% overclock this thing is incredibly fast. The 4790K is pricey but worth it.
