5 out of 5 eggsSo Much Power!

Pros: So far running fast and cool.

Cons: Nothing yet.

Other Thoughts: Hard to image that a bit over 20 years ago I built my first computer with a CPU that had a single core that maxed out at about 2.5% the speed of any one of the cores in this beast. (Yeah, I am getting old...)

5 out of 5 eggsAmazingly quick CPU, cooling is difficult...

Pros: This is the quickest CPU I've had so far. It works perfectly with the SSD I have running Windows.

Cons: The only gripe I have about this CPU is, it generates SO MUCH heat. The stock cooler WILL NOT cut it. I even bought a higher-end copper tower cooler to try and remedy the heat issue, and I still can't use Intel's "turbo boost" to OC to 4.4GHz. It'll reach 80 degrees Celsius, even when doing idle tasks.

A water cooling system is much preferred when considering this hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast!

Pros: I only review items I've had, not have. That way I can fully give my thoughts toward the product & let me tell ya! There was no task to great for this CPU! coding, video editing, graphics, music production, virtual machines, Linux firewalls, & GAMING! this baby handled all that and more.

Cons: Cannot complain.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast CPU

Pros: This CPU is just simply a beast, and I even managed to OC to 4.7Ghz @ 1.3V with even stock fan, but the 70-80C temperature made me decided to stick with 4.4Ghz turbo, and my case couldnt fit a water cooler for lower temps

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing CPU for the Price!

Pros: This CPU is amazing for the price. Running at 4.0GHz it stays extremely cool, even when using Intel's Turbo technology and running it at 4.4GHz it still remains cool, even cooler with a good heatsink solution. I have not tried to overclock this CPU yet, however I am sure you can achieve good overclocking with this CPU.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Excellent CPU for the Price, very happy with it!

5 out of 5 eggsLives up to its Reputation

Pros: Its a monster. Haven't seen it go over 60% usage even while playing some of the most demanding games.

Cons: none as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Reccomdend buying this if you want a lightening fast PC or a solid gaming rig.

5 out of 5 eggsMoved up from an i5-4440

Pros: Replaced my i5-4440 i had in my system because it was starting to be a bottleneck. I have a Zotac GTX 980ti AMPED EXTEME eidtion GPU and it wasn't reaching its potential.
Pros for this beasty CPU*
-FAST
-Can render my gameplay vids in Sony Vegas ALOT faster!
-Multitasking CPU
-More power with more cores and hyperthreading.
-My games now run at very high FPS! I've noticed almost 10fps increase as opposed to my old i5-4440.

Cons: Cons*
-This CPU will absolutely run HOT if you don't slap an aftermarket cooler on it! I have a corsair H50 liquid cooler and when I render temps shot up to 86 degrees as a maximum. Of course it isn't sustained but that is a little too hot for me even.
-Price.

Other Thoughts: Upgrading from my i5-4440 i have seen night and day differences in my game performance. CPU rendering in vegas pro has also seen a significant jump in speed. Just make sure you have a good aftermarket CPU cooler to keep this thing frosty. (WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T USE THE STOCK COOLER THAT COMES WITH THIS CPU!!!)

5 out of 5 eggsEverything you need

Pros: This is a very fast cpu which will tackle anything. Whether you are overclocking or not , you won't regret this purchase. If you are a gamer, this will perform as well or better than any processors with more cores out on the market (generally better). For people who render videos, this is still a very fast processor which will eat through anything you throw at it. For the price it's a great deal.

Cons: Don't know of any.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT Processor

Pros: Good OCer under water.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have my 4790k under water with an EK Supremacy MX block, 16Gigs of DDR3-2400 in the Asus ROG Maximus VII Hero mb. Coupled it with twin Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290s with EK blocks and all cooled by an external MO-RA3-420 rad. I can OC and run the chip at 4.8Ghz without a ton of vcore but found a sweet spot of 1.29Vcore and 4.7Ghz running rock solid and passing all stress tests. MAX temps never exceed the low 70's even with Aida64 stress testing. I had a 3770k and loved it but the motherboard went bad. I probably could have waited for the Skylake 6700k BUT this Devil's Canyon is the real deal. Heck even at stock it turbos to 4.4Ghz.
