5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the upgrade

Pros: Very fast compared to my phenom 2 1090t.
very nice oc utility very easy especially for people like me who blow at doing oc.

Cons: a little pricey but honestly depending on waht your upgrading from its well worth it.

Other Thoughts: Ive never been a fan of intel because of their high prices but my first time with them so far is phenomenal. I came from an aging amd phenom 2 1090 t and the performance difference is crazy alone i got a 15 - 20 fps increase in all my games with much more stable fps on top of it being higher. Now granted most probably will not see as big of a difference as i did as i said above it depends on what your upgrading from i came from over 4 yr old architecture and a mid to low end mobo to go with it. but either way its worth the money if your looking to upgrade.

Pros: Best cpu for the $ imo. This cpu is great runs at 20c idle and 70c full load. The new heat spreaders on these chips is wonderful.

Cons: none that I can think of

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Paired with ASUS deluxe Motherboard This is an Awesome CPU. Starts at 4.0 GHz and with the built in 5 way optimization on the Motherboard I was Able to Overclock stable to 5.2 GHz. Runs Cool with my Closed loop Liquid Cooler. Never goes over 40 Celsius under full load for me.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Price is Accurate for product quality

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance (i7-4790k)

Pros: This chip is insanely fast and efficient. Coming from the i7-920, the change in performance is made even more clear; it was well worth the upgrade. I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and I'm confident that this chip will last me as long as my last.

Cons: A bit pricey, but it's well worth it. This chip also gets insanely hot with prime95--temps of 95 C at 100 percent load (no oc and properly-mounted h100i cooler). It seems to be that p95 isn't suited for these chips; otherwise, my cpu seems to idle at around 20C and max at 50C when gaming, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: What can I say that hasn't been said about this chip already. You get what you pay for and I got it! I have
mine sitting in an Asus Maximus VII Hero with a
Raystorm waterblock and a external quad radiator.
Sitting on a stable 4.6Ghz @1.248v. Idles at 30c.
I'm a gamer and run this set up with the ASUS
Strix @2560x1600 and 32gigs GSkill of ram.
Samsung 850pro 256SSD. Loving it!

Cons: None what so ever. Sweet chipset even though I believe
my old q9650 scales better. But we all know cpu's are
like the lottery. Still very happy with it.

Other Thoughts: Get it! Wont regret it!

5 out of 5 eggsThe Devil's Canyon glory!

Pros: This wondrous piece of hardware was a Christmas gift from my wife... I love her evermore for it ;) .. 4GHz outta the box clock, unlocked, improved heat displacement (over a 4770k build I borrowed from a friend), and outlandish performance/multitasking capabilities. Outstanding for gaming and live streaming!

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful chip, and Haswell goodbye going out with Style

Pros: This CHIP is awesome.. yeah I have been AMD users for years. This was part of full upgrade from Phenom II 965. The chip is just great great great, runs my stuff FAST... I over did my build hope it last 8 to 10 years considering my Phenom 965 lasted 5. Everything I have done long Plays of Diablo 3 and Civilization 5 maxed setting earth and ai, some testing with COD black ops, Grid AutoSport ... Asus AI and HwMonitor both measure about top temp during gaming load 4.4ghz 39~40 degrees... 29~30 at idle usage

Cons: it cost more than AMD LOL

Other Thoughts: Complete Build was (reused vid card and one of the ssd from old build)

5 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: This thing is fast. No doubt about it. Came from what may be my last AMD processor (1090T 6 core) to this, and I'm loving it. Very quick, handles everything with ease.

Some say it's hot, but it idles at less than 30C for me (sometimes as low as 25C) with a Corsair H100. Top temp I've reached running it at 4.7Ghz is 61C so far during intense gaming.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Didn't need the stock cooler, and doesn't really look like it would do much anyway. Could save a few bucks if you could get it without that hunk of useless aluminum when buying a water cooler to go with it.
