5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: Stays cool, overclocks great even on air, pretty cheap.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this a couple weeks back and paired it with an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo. I am more than pleased. Everything came in working order and I have had no issues so far. Idles around 30 degrees at idle on stock speeds and barely breaks 45 under heavy load. By heavy i mean 100% stress testing. Overclocks great. 4.6Ghz on air no problem. I run it at 4.2 until I can get my liquid cooling set up. Definitely recommend this CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a Card

Pros: I love this thing. This is my first Intel card in a long time, and I am quite pleased. OCing this was super easy, and it's staying stable and (water) cool at roughly 4.2GHz, and I could probably crank it up a little more should I want.

If you want performance for even heavy gaming, this chip will produce. The price for this is well worth it, and unless you are using tons of multithreading or high cpu load type work (graphics rendering etc.) you really don't need the i7. Get this CPU, you won't be disappointed.

Cons: I don't like Intel's cooling mounting. But that's hardly this unit's fault.

5 out of 5 eggsBlazing Fast!

Pros: Blazing fast for an i5, with great built in graphics support that supports up to three displays. Combined with a SSD primary drive, a WD green secondary, and a 80+ platinum PSU my watt meter shows it idling at 31 watts! And if I want more power its unlocked.

Cons: There was a risk that this CPU was too new and that I'd have to borrow an older CPU to do a BIOS upgrade. The supplied fan has an annoying high pitched whine, but its so quiet that I can't hear it once the motherboard is in the case.

Other Thoughts: I currently run two different computers running two OSes side by side and a 3rd in the next room as a home theater PC. I plan on virtualizing one of the OSes, giving each its own monitor, and using a 20 ft HDMI and USB extension cable to replace the HTPC as well. When I feel like gaming I can switch to a dedicated GPU. I'm not sure if I'm going to overclock this system, but its nice to know the option is there.

5 out of 5 eggsFast bought for $209 B Friday

Pros: Faster than my core i7 920 quad core with HyperThreading - with out having to over clock the 4690k. But also might have to do with the motherboard being more up to date and both the processor more pro energy > speed = better for both.
Even so it is over clockable to 4.5ghz stable with a good heatsink/water cooler, either or you will get the 4.2-4.5 marker if you invest or not, but beware.

Cons: Processors are extremely small and hard to clean paste off with out dirtying its surroundings.

3 out of 5 eggsSmashed Heatsink

Pros: nice quick upgrade, it's a good cpu, everything seems to be fine with it.

Cons: When I got it, the heatsink was smashed on one side and the fan for it had a broken fin. It couldn't have happened during transit, so it must have been broken before it was even packaged. Didn't want to return the cpu just for the heatsink so just ended up buying a new heatsink altogether.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: It works

Cons: I used the stock fan since I'm not doing OC immediately. Not so pleased with the amount of thermal paste it comes with
