5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: Everything

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Makes AMD look like a Gameboy CPU. Spend the money on the i7 and save cash elsewhere....worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Processor As Expected

Pros: -Easily overclockable to 4.7ghz and beyond
-16 PCI Express lanes
-Too many more to mention

Cons: -no heatsink included... although it really isnt worth the loss of an egg, as i knew this when i purchased, so i combo'd this with an H115i

Other Thoughts: i upgraded from a 1st gen I7 930, so this was a huge upgrade for me... however, i have used 4th and 5th gen I7's, and i feel that the performance from this CPU is miles above the rest with the exception of Haswell-e I7, which it performes at near identical levels of. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast and Reliable!

Pros: Very Fast - I upgraded from a AMD 8350 and immediately noticed a much snappier response time for everything. Game loading for Fallout 4 was around 15-30 seconds before and after I have gauged it at 3-5 seconds with the 6700k. All games are much snappier.

8350 had 100% cpu load on Fallout 4 with a GTX 780 sc running at 70% load @ 1080p averaging about 35-45 fps on Ultra Max settings. With the 6700k under the same circumstances, I had 7% cpu load with 100% GPU load averaging 40-50 fps. That means this cpu can handle 980ti or GTX 1080 on my new 3440x1440 resolution no problem.

Easy to install and stays very cool at stock settings with closed loop water cooler. I have had no reason to overclock it yet.

Cons: It's more expensive than what I usually pay for with AMD, but it has been worth it.

Other Thoughts: Setup: Asus ROG Maximus Hero VIII LGA 1151
Intel 6700k - Lepa Aquachanger 240mm liquid cooler
EVGA 780 sc Gpu
8gb G.skill Ripjaw V series
Samsung 850 256 ssd + 3 2tb Western Digital Black
Corsair HX series HX850 PSU
Thermaltake GT Snow Edition Case
Asus ROG PG348q 34" Ultrawide 3440x1440 Monitor

5 out of 5 eggsIt's an Intel i7 - 4.0 GHz !

Pros: Nice little chip

Cons: None noted to date other than being a little pricey.

Other Thoughts: Box was a little squashed upon arrival, but the chip itself is very well protected inside it's box.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Gaming Processor

Pros: - 4.0GHZ base clock speed, 4.2GHZ boost
- Easy to overclock and does not get too hot
- Supports the new DDR4 standards
- Handles multitasking like a breeze
- Handles video encoding and editing efficiently and quickly

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 4770k mainly because I wanted to take advantage of DDR4, higher base clock speed and Z170 chipset. Also this chip does not get as hot as my trusty 4770k. I know i did not get too much of an upgrade in terms of gaming performance, but I wanted to sort of "future proof" (there is honestly no such thing lol) my computer. Overall, this chip is not a necessary buy if you have Sandy Bridge or newer, but it does support the new standards, which should be around for a long while.

5 out of 5 eggsA world of difference from AMD's CPU's...

Pros: - Unlocked my 780ti's SLI true potential.
- Its true what they say, Intel CPU is for gaming... I don't know why I was in denial with AMD cpus for so-long...
- [I could never achieve true SLI performance with FX 8350 even after I overclocked to 4.8 ~ 5.0ghz.]

Cons: - I can't overclock stable 4.6ghz without pumping at least 1.37+ vcore. =(
- *Overclocking* can be a little convoluted for Intel CPU's compared to AMD...

Other Thoughts: First-time Intel, transitioning from AMD all my life... I see first-hand, and I can validate, the price certainly matches the performance! I really can't complain about price when the performance matches what I had hoped for.

5 out of 5 eggsEASY overclocking 4.7 GHz with CoolerMaster Hyper 212X

Pros: Wow - plays games from 2015 on medium or high graphics settings. No GPU video card needed - saves you $400.
Intel Extreme Tuning software allows easy over clocking & testing. Built in HD graphics & Intel HD Graphics software let you fine tune your display monitor or HDTV.

Cons: Only Price & Needs fed DDR4 memory & recommended GOLD certified power supply or better.

If you just need a Basic PC for day-to-day, you can buy a cheap notebook PC for less than the cost of this single Chip.

If you need a good cheap game machine for STEAM, an AMD A10 based system will save you several hundreds of dollars.

But if you want the latest 2016 tech, very little can challenge the cutting edge power & speed of the i7 6700K.

Other Thoughts: Intel has made our modern world possible... As more technology shifts to ARM, android, and other mobile platforms - intel still astounds the world with advances beyond expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsBlazing fast CPU, love it!

Pros: PC boots up in like 5-10 seconds flat, very fast. Great multitasking, and awesome for gaming. I'm on watercooling, and my idle temps sit in the 24-29C range. Highest temps I hit under heavy load is like 50C which is very good. I am very glad I purchased this CPU, it has done me well so far.

Cons: None at all, I am very happy overall.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this product to any gamer or streamer.
