Cons: -Heat sink fins airflow design is perpendicular to the standard airflow pattern, but it doesn't seem to have affected performance.

Minor Con: This RAM wouldn't run stable at the XMP-1 settings, at least in an AMD 785 chipset motherboard.

Other Thoughts: There really isn't much to say about these other than they are well made, that they come in fancy packaging and that they generally have worked well in the PC I have them installed in. As mentioned in the Pros, they are installed in an AMD 785 chipset motherboard and they run perfectly at the standard 1600 settings. However, when I plugged in the XMP settings to run them at 1600 but at slightly lower latency, they were not stable. So it seems that this RAM does what it is spec'd to do, but not much more than that. Because it has been stable for a few months at the specified settings, I consider it worthy of 5 eggs.

Pros: These are definitely stylish modules. Featuring contemporary all-aluminum heat spreaders and black PCB's, what these modules lack in stock specs they make up for with looks - they are the Apple to the Alienware aesthetic that's more prominent in memory design. They are also humble on the spec sheet - I was able to hit 1800MHz without tweaking anything else using an ASUS P97-Pro, but didn't push it any further as I'm not a huge fan of memory overclocking (lost midterms will do that). These will overclock with ease however. Prime95 passed. They also run cool, as you might expect.

SPD works. Lifetime warranty is no joke.

Cons: These require very high clearance, so make sure large CPU coolers will accommodate these. Why would you want to cover them anyway though?

Slightly higher price point than average.

Other Thoughts: Due to KLEVV's close relationship with Hynix, we'll be seeing more of this brand in the future and I'm looking forward to it. Recommended to enthusiasts.

Pros: Solid performance level on par with other better known brand name rams. I swapped these out for a pair identical speced Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz 8GB (2 x 4 GB) 9-9-9-24 rams and can not tell any difference from both a benchmark and actual gaming performance.

The heatsink on these ram are absolutely gorgeous, very clean minimalist modern design that should look great in any case with a view of the interior.

Very stable. After over 3 weeks of use I have not experienced any system crashes or anomalies.

Cons: None as long as you are aware that these come with high profile heatsink sinks.

Other Thoughts: You can immediately tell from the product photo that these rams require significant cpu heatsink clearance. It doesn't effect me directly since my rig is watercooled but it's definitely something to be mindful of when purchasing.

Pros: This memory works great in my Dell OptiPlex 3020 (Intel i5) workstation. Based on the benchmarks that I ran, it does not seem to be any better or worse than the other brand that was already in this PC. It has a nice visual appearance, runs cool, and has yet to give me any issues.

After a few months, if I haven't had any issues, I will consider purchasing some of this memory for other machines.

Cons: None that I can find.

Pros: - Very stable
- High SPD out of the box
- Great heat spreaders
- Great design
- Highly overclockable

Cons: - Really tall, this is as high as 2 RAM sticks on top of each other.

Other Thoughts: I replaced 8GB of Corsair memory in my home media center/server with the Klevv, looking to maintain a highly stable system. Out of the box my board (not a gaming board, just a regular one), picked the highest spd entry possible.

My system is mostly used for torrents/home server applications/media streaming to my TV, so it doesn't necessarily use a ton of ram very quickly, but I do want it to be highly stable. So far the system has had no issues since the memory was installed a few weeks ago, and overall performance meets or exceeds the previously installed memory.

The heat spreaders on the memory are an interesting topic. While they are GIANT, and I do mean extremely tall, I didn't have any issues installing the sticks, and so far they don't seem to hit any components nearby. It is something to take notice on if you have any DVD drives or hard drives that are near your RAM slots.

Overall, the design of the memory is pleasant. If you have a case window you won't be disappointed looking at it, but if you are looking to really impress your friends you might want to look at Klevv's higher end memory for better looks.

While I didn't push the memory to its limit, I was able to stretch out 1.5V quite a bit, and I didn't have any issues improving the timings or frequency by a few points.

Memory performance is very personal since it takes into account your board, chip, operating system, etc, so giving a benchmark won't tell you much. That being said, when used with an entry level board and an i3 in Windows 7 I did get very stable and snappy performance.

Overall, I think the product is solid. It looks great and performs well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for the slightly premium price, and I would definitely consider using it in my next gaming system due to its high quality and overclockability.

Pros: The RAM is beautiful. The hardware design is the best looking I have seen.

The heat sink is awesome too. I was originally thinking I'd lose a lot of great dissipation in lieu of looks. But the heat sink was awesome and hardcore.

The design allowed it to sit shorter than the rest of my ram because the heat sink is thick rather than tall.

The RAM overclocked out the box using spd, although it wasn't stable (see cons).

I received the 9 9 9 24 1600mhz ram and it ran stable at the same latency and 1800mhz. So not awesome, but better than stock.

Cons: There were not many cons aside from the lack of greatness.

While the RAM was better than it was rated, it was not great by any means. I run my 1600mhz kingstons at 1800mhz but 8 8 8 20 latency and it's triple channel. I run my 1600mhz corsair at about 2100 mhz and 9 9 9 22 latency.

I only had triple channel RAM to compare to so I used my kingstons to compare (see other thoughts).

so while the klevv has more ram (2gb total) it has more latency (bad) and is dual channel vs triple channel. An interesting comparison!

I ran memtest and the klevv was solid. Then I ran prime for 4 hours and the same. All other iterations failed one or the other, this was the best oc I could get out of the klevv's.

Then I ran them side by side in passmark and got the following...while for the most part the klevv's held their own, the most surprising was the failure to keep up on the writes.

Other Thoughts: Heat Sink top clearance is 52 mm not a bad thing, just an advisory. The total size of the ram is 133 X 52 X 8 mm. but the heat sink does not exceed the length of the ram as some other high end ram does.
Essencore Limited in Hong Kong is the company that manufactures this ram and is sure to be a leader in the memory field due to their attention to ideas inside the company and outside the company. They have an impressive product and a bright future in the Computing Memory Market. They seem to realize that their competition is high so they are doing the most to make sure they stay in the Enthusiast's eye with high quality standards.

Pros: You might be thinking, it's just RAM, how can someone be blown away? Well, it starts with the looks. There is nothing better looking than what this new company is pushing out, even if you decide to shell out more cash for the company with the sails. Although subjective, I would hope people can agree it does look good, and it brings a whole new tray of possibilities for matching these modules with any system. The off-chrome look is perfect, and makes the modules stand out in any motherboard. The color, of course, will match most themes, even if using crazy color such as green/yellow. I just can't think of any others that do it so well.

To get to the overclocking results. I will not even mention the motherboard I used, as that would be most likely irrelevant given all of them will vary (even if using the same exact model).

I was able to get the memory to CAS 11, 2133, at only 1.55v. Is it great? No, but it does show how capable this memory is of reaching overly decent overclocks, with barely any voltage bumps. Klevv is heading the right way, and with Hyunday Electronix backing them, I see this company growing quickly. It is quite refreshing to see a new face that did all the correct preplanning, and brought an excellent-working product to market. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Cons: Literally none.
