1 out of 5 eggsat least 50% failure rate

Pros: none

Cons: bought a bunch of these, and the entertainment edition.
they started getting intermittently flaky around 9 months, after 12 they've started dropping like flies.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Good RAM, good price. No complaints.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am running 16 gigs total on ASUS M5A88-V EVO AM3 mobo, AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz processor, Dual Windows 7 and Ubuntu OS's. Very zippy system.

5 out of 5 eggspurchased on 5/28/2012

Pros: I've rated this product high yet I'm not an overclocker at all. This ram however has been completly reliable and I've had no issues with it what so ever.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Again I only use the settings that are preset and I don't attempt to overclock I've never had the need. I do know though that after 6 monthes they have ran cool and there hasn't been any issues. The name AMD means quality to me and I happen to be a fan of the cpu platforms and will continue to be. I've been building computers since the 386/486 days and can not say anything negative (although I'm a Nvidia video fan)

3 out of 5 eggsOne stick failed

Pros: Nice heat spreader on the RAM (very clean look to it).

Cons: My system was reading all 8 gigs of RAM but kept having issues and blue screen errors. I preformed a memory diagnosis and found out one of the sticks wasn't working properly. So I took out the stick and now its running fine with just 4 gigs.

5 out of 5 eggsthe best ram at a great price.

Pros: I like to keep my builds with AMD labels on everything. These work perfect, never need correcting in the BIOS.
I notice an improvement on Intel builds also.
Heat sinks will clear any CPU cooler choice.
I have these running perfect on many different builds.
never had a problem or return on any RAM from New Egg.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: These will clear any CPU cooler of your choice. and they run perfect.
The new Zalman CNPS 5X, or the Zalman CNPS 7X, do a very excellent job of cooling both the CPU and the RAM. and those Zalman CPU coolers will clear the tallest heat sink designs. New Egg has all these products on hand and ship quickly with UPS.
Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: No problems.

Cons: These sticks are just rebadged Patriot memory, which IIRC isn't mentioned in the listing. You might be able to get the same thing with a Patriot name at a lesser price.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING RAM, not so great CPU...

Pros: This RAM is low profile, and clocks at DDR3 1600, very sexy thermal heat spreader.

Cons: ANY Phenom II does not support DDR3 1600, look for yourself their specs are for up to DDR3 1333, i've had to underclock these just to keep away from that annoying BSOD!!!

Other Thoughts: should have bought me the DDR3 1333 versions instead. But at least i have an AM3+ mobo to upgrade to the FX CPU when i get the money.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: Works perfect right out of the box with Sabertooth 990fx. No mussing or fussing with timings and voltages, these units are stable, low profile (fit under NHD-14 no problem), and so far I haven't had any need for more than 8 gigs.

Cons: Not one thing

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Suprised.

Pros: Suprisingly Excellent. After two pairs of Mushkin performance ram failed on me, I decided on these guys after much research. Ive never purchased a patriot product, as these are both designed by patriot with AMD and produced by Patriot. As I was moving to a 990FX board because of certain requirements, I learned in my research that these sticks are designed almost strictly for the 990 line. The compatability with said "tricky" boards, especially with an AM3 6 core chip tagging along, can be rather selective. I seem to have solved this problem with a combination of the Asus Sabertooth motherboard, and this stable-as-all-getout ram. Also I paid a fortune for the mushkin ram compared to what I paid for this with sales, coupons, and such. Yay newegg! (continued in other thoughts)

Cons: Essentially, none, it was the third set of DDR3 ram I bought after the first two had to be RMA'd for failure. I would highly reccomend this product as stability and durability are my main concerns.

I do however have a general "gripe" regarding ram and ram settings. I would like it if ram companies would produce a set of motherboard settings, optimal yet safe and within paramaters. Im not asking for psycho insane overclocking settings, but what should I shoot for for my particular motherboard? Sure, you can tell me that this or that board was tested with this particular ram, but what settings were used? I swear its like trying to pull teeth from a running greased gremlin on a caffiene high. They always respond with the 4 primary settings and leave it at that.

Other Thoughts: I have a geminII cpu/ram cooler that uses fan overhang to cool the ram essentially. This ram fit beneath it no problem, its really low clearance, but heatspreaders seem nice and effective. Tinkering out of curiosity, I was able to get rather extreme settings, that as of yet I have no need for. Its nice to know that if I need to in the future, its a viable option. The only problem I had with this ram was when I accidentally set the motherboard to do its own soft-overclocking, weird settings popped up and it kinda ???'d the ram a little but, but who uses auto-tuning? Right now default settings are just fine for me, as my needs are light mmo gaming and internet surfing on this PC. Again, I would like to say I would reccomend this ram highly, especially if youre using a 900 series amd board.
