5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Since 3 of my original memory sticks failed I wanted a matched set for my AMD quad core computer. After installing a new power supply I plugged these in and that's all I had to do. I have not changed the settings yet as recommended in other reviews as they are running so well now I'll wait a bit. I've always liked Kingston memory and I was glad to see they had this. Pretty too LOL.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: They have kept the quality of their boards. When I was testing the original memory I was surprised how ill fitting they were and the difficulty swapping them around. The Kingston slid in perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsFixed my computer

Pros: The old memory in my HP m8530f went bad. This RAM replaced it and the computer booted up first time, and I have yet to see a problem. I have not had to mess with the BIOS yet.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I had to take apart most of the computer to get to the memory slots. Thanks HP.

5 out of 5 eggsRead Specs

Pros: I am presently running (2) kits of KHX6400D2ULK2/2G
(total of 4G) on my Asus Maximus Formula board. I recently upgraded from XP to Win 7 Ultimate (64bit) so I am going to get the KHX6400D2LLK4/8G kit to upgrade to (8G) of Ram.

Cons: For those having problems or those that mentioned they had to manually tweek bios (i.e. Voltages & Timmings) read the factory Specs. Kingston Data Sheet Reads as Follows: DESCRIPTION
Kingston’s KHX6400D2LLK4/8G is a kit of four low-latency
256M x 64-bit 2GB (2048MB) DDR2-800 CL4 SDRAM
(Synchronous DRAM) memory modules, based on sixteen
128M x 8-bit DDR2 FBGA components per module. Total kit
capacity is 8GB (8192MB). Each module kit has been tested
to run at DDR2 800MHz at low latency timing of 4-4-4-12
at 1.95V. The SPDs are programmed to JEDEC standard
latency 667Mhz timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V.

Other Thoughts: Go to Bios set frequency to 800Mhz, timings to 4,4,4,12 & voltage to 1.95v and you will be fine.

Asus Maximus Formula (Bios 1403)
(2) KHX6400D2ULK2/2G (Total 4G, 800Mhz @ 3,3,3,10)

(2) ATI 2900XT's (Crossfire)

1 out of 5 eggsIntel Processors only

Pros: none...see Cons

Cons: If people look at the third picture it states clearly INTEL XMP Certified. However no where in the details or overview does it state this. So it will not work on an AMD processor. I have the very same Dual Channel 8GB of Kingston HyperX memory but that memory is for an AMD processor NOT intel processors and works just fine in my system. These won't even boot.

Manufacturer Response:

We apologize for the issue you are having.

Memory is typically processor agnostic, however, there may be some features, such as Intel XMP profiles, that are not supported on all systems.

In order to better assist you, please call our Support Staff at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) and one of our Technical Support Representatives will assist you with the problem and authorize replacement should you need one. Please be sure to have the part on hand if you call in.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.

4 out of 5 eggsgood memory

Pros: runs good, runs fast.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: pop open my tower, remove the old memory. try to jam the new memory in. 10 min's later gave up, and start to look at the memory carfully..realize that it has to go in a certin way. 2 mins later the tower is running fine. note to anyone who never change memory before, look at the memory slot before trying to jam the new memory in. :)
