5 out of 5 eggsGreat & Reliable

Pros: I am highly satisfied with this Kingston ram. It is fast, reliable and attractive. It was also one of the few pairs of laptop memory I could find with heat spreaders without being for enthusiasts, (the other being gskill).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Its just good stuff. Fast, reliable, well built, everything I have come to expect from Kingston. Also the heat spreaders was what really made this product stand out for me.

4 out of 5 eggsKnow what you're buying...

Pros: Fastest you can get currently. See other.

Cons: Only 2x2GB kits available.

Other Thoughts: The three other reviewers that purchased this ram missed the fact (after the fact, it seems) that you need a machine capable of 1600Mhz speeds to use this memory to it's full potential. There are only a handful out there at the moment, one of which I have (Dell M6500 with the i7-920XM processor).

As far as I know, only the mobile extreme processor(s), of which only the 920XM is currently available, will use this to it's full potential. This is documented on Intel's site, as well as Dell's, which I'll paste here:

NOTE: Intel Core i5/i7 dual-core processors support 1600 MHz and 1333 MHz memory modules, but the memory will operate at 1067 MHz.

NOTE: Intel Core i7-920XM Quad-Core processor supports memory frequency up to 1600 MHz. All other Core i7 Quad-Core processors support memory frequency up to 1333 MHz only, even if memory modules of higher frequency are installed.

I picked 2 2x4GB kits of 1333Mhz until the larger modules are available.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great instaill easy had this in my dell xps 1340 laptop for about 2-3 months great..

the guys under me says they don't see the 1600 with the M15x, thats because the alienware m15x doesn't support 1600. highest they support is 1333 but i do have a alienware 15x just bought one im going to be installing that into my M15x my dell xps only supports 1066 i have the 1600 in it now i can see the different and its super faster now.... love this memory...

Cons: none so far... doesn't get too hot. when im playing games 4-5 hours not not just warm.. stays at aroud 65-70 for me on my dell xps 1340 laptop.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory!

Pros: Works great! No problems at all! Just removed the old RAM and put these babies in, there you go. No boot-up issues or anything! Just faster RAM! I used these to replace DDR2 800MHz 2GB RAM.

Cons: Same as other reviewer. Only goes to 1333. It might be a motherboard issue though. But unlike the other reviewer Everest software does show 1666 timing profiles but shows its only running at 1333. I dont know how to fix this.

Other Thoughts: I have mine installed in a 2 month old Alienware M17 Laptop. Maybe the motherboard isn't capable of 1666. Since Everest says it's an Intel MoBo. I thought Alienware used Asus Mobo's but I guess not. There are no settings in my BIOS to change the timings or overclock the processor or memory. Everest says the monitor is an LG. Way to go! Its a nice 1200P display!

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz
2X ATI Radeon 3870 Crossfire Mode

Cons: only runs DDR3 1333 9/9/9/27 on my dell M15X laptop even though i set the bios to 1600

Other Thoughts: doesn't show 1600 profile timings in cpu z.
