4 out of 5 eggsGood, but terrible form factor

Pros: Speed as advertised.
Usual Kingston quality.
Price seems reasonable.

Cons: Tall. Ridiculously Tall.

Other Thoughts: If your doing water cooling, great, but anything but the tallest CPU heat sinks will probably cause space issues.

Pros: Runs great at 2133 on the default profile. Stays cool to the touch. Spreaders have some weight to them.

Cons: Could not get the 2nd set to run at 2400 MHz stable with 11-14-14-30 timings. Took some work to get first set to run at 2400 mhz. Not sure if RAM or CPU IMC is to blame so cannot really knock off an egg since it seems to be a lottery if your chip will run 2400 mhz.

Other Thoughts: Bought 2 sets of this RAM for 2 builds using the same processor and motherboards. First build I was able to get these sticks to run at 2400 stable with 11-14-14-30 timings after putting them in A-2 and B-2 slots.

Tried the same exact setup on the second build and nothing but crashes on both A1 B1 and A2 B2. Finally gave up and ran them at 2133 on the second build.

Heat spreaders are large. Had to move the CPU fan on the evo 212 to use A1 ram slot but to be expected.

Pros: They look great. Computer rran great once i got them to 2400

Cons: didn't recognize right off the bat had to make some adjustments in BIOS to get them to 2400

Other Thoughts: Bought these around a year ago just because they were 2400 and my motherboard supported them.

Pros: update from my first review on this ram.

works as advertised. i got the ram to finally run well over 2400. after a little research and a little more knowledge on how to change timings properly in my bios, i was able to get it to run as advertised.

11-13-13-30 are the timings i was able to achieve the best results with.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: heatsinks might be a little tall but not really a big deal.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid as a rock!

Pros: Works perfectly as intended with my ASRock Z87 Extreme4 and paired with a 4770k. Pulled the part number off of the motherboard's Memory Compatibility list, googled it, and this popped up. More speed than you could ever need I mean seriously, who needs DDR3 3000+ RAM? This RAM is solid, snappy, and future proof.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Heatsinks are a bit tall. Close to 2 inches if I were to eye ball it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They have beautiful blue colored heat sink's that make my computer look deviously mean under my Asus mobo's red LED's.

Cons: None that I can verify because of my lack of computer knowledge.

Other Thoughts: I currently have the Kingston HyperX Predator Series 2 x 4GB sticks running at Dual DDR3-2133 (10-12-11-30) (CL-RCD-RP-RAS). I can't get the RAM to run at 2400. It will not boot up at that speed.

I did a little research and it seems that the processor I'm using (AMD FX-6300 Vishera) only supports memory at speeds up to 1866. So that may be why I can't get it to run at 2400.

Anyways, that's my take on the Kingston HyperX Predator Series. As far as I can tell it seems to be doing it's job and it runs well. If someone has any suggestions please drop me a line.

Cons: not sure if i have to rma or just settle for 2133 and call it stable
built machine for brother same built as my sig except for the power supply he won't let me completely stress test it so there toy have it but his system is now stable

Other Thoughts: my sig
ASRock FMA85x extreme 6
AMD A10-5800K Trinity 3.8GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket FM2
KXH2400C11D3/4GX by 2(will only run stable@2133)

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. From your description, it sounds as though the memory is behaving properly. The AMD A10-5800K Trinity CPU only supports DDR3-1866. As the memory controller is built into the CPU that is where the limit would be, being able to run stable at 2133 is going a step over what the processor lists it supports which is usually the case. Typically if the memory is stable at default settings the memory is working properly and the higher OC settings would then defer to the rest of the system setup. For further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as described

Pros: Worked with my Asus P8Z77 right out of the box. I do run the Ivy bridge Intel i5 cpu. No tweeking needed so far. Good memory.

Cons: Huge heat spreaders but I knew this and installed before the large CPU fan eliminating the problem.

Other Thoughts: Look cool in my mobo!
