5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Faster and less power consumption than typical SODIMMs.

Cons: Costs about $20 more over the 8GB 1.5v CL11 modules.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: CAS 9 at 1600MHz dual channel at 1.28V in my Sandy Bridge i7-2720QM laptop. Doesn't get any better than that for laptop RAM right now.

It's rated for 1.5V and 1.35V, but actually runs even lower in my laptop.

I did not have to do anything other than physically put the ram in the slots and turn the computer on. Everything auto-configured to the previously mentioned settings (which is good because laptops are notoriously difficult to mess with bios). That part is of course cpu/chipset specific, but it worked great for me anyway.

No BSODs in normal use or gaming with heavy memory usage.
No heat issues.
No change in battery life of my laptop over my old 1.5V 1066MHz 4GB RAM, while decreasing latency (just slightly), increasing bandwidth significantly, and doubling capacity.

Cons: It is slightly more expensive than alternatives, but it's guaranteed to work in any ddr3 laptop due to being able to run at 2 voltages (particularly if you don't know what your laptop can handle and don't want to risk the hassle of an RMA).
