5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low profile, so it's probably going to fit with whatever enormous cooler mount you've got to fit next to it. And it's black :)

Cons: My mobo didn't recognize it as 1600 speed, but I was able to specify the clock myself without issue.

Other Thoughts: I like black.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff - Correction - BEST Stuff!!

Pros: I have another review, it's the 2nd one below this with the name N/A. I Added 16GB more of the same Kingston Black HyperX. Now, I'm maxed at 32GB. When I first went from 16GB to 32GB my computer wouldn't even boot to the BIOS. (Win 7 Pro x64) It would start, shutdown and restart all by itself and went into a continuous never ending loop and my LG 27 inch monitor screen stayed completely black during this process. Went back to 16GB and everything worked A-OK. I tried just the newly purchased 16GB, worked perfectly, so, I knew the memory wasn't faulty. It only failed when exceeding 16GB. I tried the tech help websites to see if could spot what I was doing wrong. Nothing but wild goose chases. I finally emailed Kingston's service dept and a Tech named Glenn Neumeister came to my rescue and had me up and running the same day. He even called me at home within 10 minutes after I sent a reply to his first email. When you want help, Kingston doesn't make you wait days. I sent my email at night and by early morning my time, Glenn responded. First, by email, then, by phone. He was patient, didn't rush and gave me a few specific things to try before we went the RMA route. He also explained how to get the memory to 1600 instead of the default 1333. I thought about it but decided to let it run at 1333. Everything is running so good, I'm not going to mess with it. I'm not a gamer. Maybe, just maybe I'll try it sometime when I have a week off from work just to see if I notice any difference in speed and temperature. Right now, according to the Intel Desktop Utilities, memory temp is 111*F but not exceeding 115*F. Before I added a cooling fan, I was seeing as high as 119*F.

Cons: None!! Kingston all the way. Read what they did for me and you will know why no one does it any better.

Other Thoughts: I'm so glad I went with Kingston. Now I know why so many consider them the best. I certainly do. Heck, look at the review ratings. A perfect 5. There must be a reason for that. My home built system remains absolutely problem free. Still no crashes of any kind. Before this system was built. (XP-Pro) I was always plagued with Firefox browser, YouTube video & program crashes and those occasional but nagging BSOD's. I've had ZERO since the 1st time this system booted to the Win 7 install disk. And, I attribute Kingston as a major part of the perfection puzzle of having a error free & crash free computer. In my lower review I posted a few weeks ago you can see most of the components I'm using. Another goal I had, I wanted to feel confident whenever the next latest & greatest OS following Windows 8 arrives, if I want to dive in, my computer should be able to handle it. I'll wager at least I have an adequate amount of memory.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek

Pros: Clean nice looking RAM. All sticks work perfect. 8 pieces for 64GB looks good in the X79-Deluxe. Stays nice and cool under load. Lifetime warranty. Dependable.

Cons: On sale it was still expensive compared to cheap no name budget RAM.

Other Thoughts: I have had Kingston and Corsair for years. Really like decades. So far the Corsair Pro series and XMS has been replaced a couple times under lifetime warranty. While the Kingston (quality ram not KVR) is still original.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

Pros: No BSOD's...No hair pulling unexplained system freezes/lockups...No program pop-up error messages...No Firefox browser crashes.. When I say "no", I mean NONE!!

Cons: Absolutely none!!

Other Thoughts: I have an Intel GH87MC mobo and use their CD supplied Desktop Utilities. It reads the temperature anywhere from 117*F to 120*F. It's not overclocked. Just running as it came from the factory. I've yet to see it exceed 20% usage. I'm not a gamer but I do know how to stress test a computer to see if I can cause it to crash, I have done that and it never blinked. If case anyone wants to know, I have the i5 4440 3.1 GHz Intel CPU using the factory fan and 4600 integrated graphics, 7 HDD's (not RAID) and the Corsair HX750 PDU. I have no video card connected.

5 out of 5 eggsSecret OC Beast

Pros: Bought this about a year ago. The stuff cost me about $70 at the time on sale. Now I see its priced at $140!+

Anyway, I have it clocked to 2133 Mhz 11-11-11-33 1.58v. The stuff performs amazing. Reliable as hell. I am still lowering the DRAM voltage in my testing, so it may do it at stock, who knows. I am using a 3770K so top notch IMC.

It seems to be Hyper X Beast with different heat spreaders?

Cons: Current pricing is very high.

Other Thoughts: Runs great on my GAZ77XUD3H + i7 3770k.

Tried Samsung 30nm Green, 4x4 unstable as hell even at stock speeds, couldn't get it stable even stock. Kept getting a BSOD 116. Passed Memtest in this rig individual slots tested. I own 7 sticks of the Samsung stuff, its good ram.

Same modules in separate machines passing memtest, full load prime 95, etc at super high speeds.

Anyway, switched back to my HyperX Black and it outperforms it. Go figure.

Don't run 4x4 on Ivy/Sandy its not worth the burden to your IMC (VTT/VCCSA/VCCIO), go with a set like this ram 2x8GB.

Is this stuff HyperX Beast with different XMP profile and heat spreaders?

5 out of 5 eggsSUPER FAST

Pros: First time ver using Kingston and can say unequivocally they have a life time user from now on. Installed the chicps, and watched my computer fly through every single operation.

Cons: Price is a little high for these chips. I paid 145 and I think it should have really been 99 as I have seen other folks purchase it on discount for that much

5 out of 5 eggsKingston RAM is the best!

Pros: This is the most beautiful RAM I have ever seen! The heat sinks have amazing detail, The silver look on the black background is just stunning. It should also be noted that these RAM chips have a black PCB (Printed circuit board). The black on black with silver accents just looks amazing! The photos on NewEgg do not do these chips justice. I have a black motherboard so these matched my setup perfectly.

I purchased this 4 of these kits to run on my Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 Motherboard. This is a quad channel memory, motherboard with the X79 chipset.

I populated all of memory banks (8 x 8GB = 64GB) and am running the max amount of memory my computer will utilize. I have setup a 48GB RAMDisk and it's rock solid stable.

I scored a 13314.0 Memory Mark using PassMark.
I scored a 7.9 in win 7
Ran memtest and passed with zero issues.

Cons: There are no cons. I have purchased Kingston RAM exclusively for all of my PC builds and will never even consider another Manufacturer. I'm sure Corsair and GSkill make good RAM too, but Kingston has always worked for me and everyone else I know.

Other Thoughts: In other thoughts, I see in the reviews people saying things like "RAM will not run at listed speeds". Most of the time, it's because people don't bother to read the details and they don't understand what they're buying.

This RAM is clearly listed with a JDEC at 1333MHz. JDEC is basically and "industrial standard" for RAM.

Now, with HyperX memory like this kit, when you install it, it will show up as 1333Mhz which is what it should be at. You have to manually go into your BIOS/UEFI and either set the timings manually, or chose the XMP profile. XMP is basically an over-clock profile for your memory chip. But take note, your motherboard must support XMP.

Also, RAM is backwards compatible in most cases. If your CPU will not support the XMP profile at 1600Mhz, the RAM chips with default to the JDEC timings at 1333Mhz, or even slower (1066Mhz, 800Mhz) depending on your CPU/Chipset.

I'm running this RAM on one of the most top end memory banks you can buy for desktop. 64GB is awesome, 64GB that is stable at 1600Mhz is even awesome-er :)

The X79 is not in the supported chipset list for this RAM . I wanted this RAM in particular because it was black on black and would match my PC components rather nicely. I gambled, it seems to have payed off.

If a Kingston tech ever reads this, please pass some Kudos on to your engineering/technical staff!. This RAM is amazing looking and they work as good they look!!!

Egg-cellent product indeed!

As always, NewEgg shipped fast and sold the RAM at a great price!
