3 out of 5 eggsBe Careful of what you see!

Pros: Plenty of ports with connectors direct to your Motherboard.

Cons: The printed "USB 3" on the front of the image is not a USB 3 port but just the third usb-2 connector on the reader. That is notoriously misleading and I think they know it. Just a bad marketing decision to print that on the reader. Should have read the specs in detail. Either way I think it makes the company look bad.

Other Thoughts: I suppose I'll keep it since return shipping is a joke and I still need the card reader anyway.

4 out of 5 eggsI like it...

Pros: Nice fast card reader. Extra 3.0 port, which are all I use.

Cons: Could have done the same in a 3.5". Who needs USB 2.0, eSATA, 1394 (obsolete) and audio unless you have a lame case?

1 out of 5 eggsAluminum USB panel

Pros: Looks nice, installed quickly, worked well for a few months.
Mostly plastic.

Cons: The Audio jacks are a little flimsy.

Later the USB connectors became weak and don't work all the time. One out of the 3 is still OK. They all work but only with a tight cable connector.

The SD card slot doesn't work after a year.
Firewire and e-Sata still work OK. I use the e-SATA a lot with a Thermaltake Hard Drive enclosure.

Other Thoughts: Must be something better out there.

Pros: now i do love this product because of all the neat factors of it... good bit of slots for all of your media uses and kicks as HD front panel usb head and mic jacks. with 2 standerd USB, it has USB 5.25"All-in-one USB x 3 / IEEE 1394 / ESATA / HD (or AC97) Audio Internal Card Reader I would use this product again.

4 out of 5 eggsA bit of a disappointment

Pros: Lots of USB connectors but that also means that you have two cables to connect to your USB ports on your motherboard. Along with the two USB cables you have a 1394 cable and a HD audio cable to connect. Everything that I tested works fine. I was looking for a 5 1/4" format to fit into an Antec 300 case and this fit the bill perfectly.

Cons: The aluminum face plate is attached to a plastic chassis using double sided tape. The tape on this unit didn't stick all that well so the aluminum plate was sticking out away from the chassis. In my opinion this is either a quality control issue or a manufacturer's defect. The other thing that I noticed was the USB ports. They seemed awfully loose when you plug in USB flash drives or USB cables. All of the ports worked so I shouldn't complain, but it was loose enough that it caught my attention.

Other Thoughts: I had previously purchased this same type of unit for another machine and the front plate was a solid piece of aluminum and was much better than this one. I don't know if I simply ordered the wrong unit or if they started making them cheaper. All in all, I would probably pay more attention before I purchasing another one of these units.

1 out of 5 eggsno good

Pros: the faceplate looked nice

Cons: It didnt work, motherboard indicator said my cpu was gone.
flashed bios to get the machine to post and then I had system hangs and frozen programs.
When i got the machine running and tryied testing the thing it didnt enev work one usb port work, thats it.

Clearly not worth the trouble, going to RMA it at the earliest oppurtunity. It just wasnt getting along with my system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat add-on device.

Pros: I've had this reader for over a year and it works great. It basically has one port of everything, but I only really use it to read my Memory Sticks. Doesn't hurt to have the others just in case.

Cons: If your case has negative pressure (airflow), this reader is porous and air will seep through it. Dust builds up on some of the reader connections. Not too bad. Just spay/w compressed air every few months.

4 out of 5 eggsI concur

Pros: Cheap. Lots of connections in one slot.

Cons: Holes don't line up the best but doesn't cause problems. A bit flimsy.
