1 out of 5 eggsStay Away

Pros: It matches the color of my case.

Cons: Cheap quality, poor construction.
- Plastic faceplate doesn't line up properly with card slots
- SD card would not fit into slot without a lot of force
- SD card won't read whatsoever in Windows 7 x64

Other Thoughts: Honestly, just spend the extra money and buy a better product. This is a piece of poorly manufactured junk. I have paperweights that are more useful to me.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Looks great, almost fits in my 3.5 port

Cons: Screw holes were a joke, card reader doesn't read. I would love to have it connected and working, Unfortunately its not even worth my time to send it back.

1 out of 5 eggsWon't recognize

Pros: Cheap, pretty easy to install.

Cons: My motherboard (ASRock Extreme3 Gen3) won't recognize it in any port. Apparently it's supposed to work without drivers, so probably going to have to RMA.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, But Disappointing.

Pros: Everything worked right out of the box.

Cons: Construction quality is poor. The connectors don't line up with the cutouts properly, so inserting a card or plug can work on your patience at times.

Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd card reader (from different manufacturers) with poor mechanical engineering. Why can't anyone get such a simple task (lining up the connectors with the cutouts in the panel) correct.

5 out of 5 eggsworks just fine

Pros: easy install, reads all sizes of cards so far 9at least up to 16GB)

Cons: to use the esata port make sure the controller supports 'hot swapping' , otherwise one has to restart the computer for the drive to be recognized.

3 out of 5 eggsSo lala....

Pros: Well, it does what it is supposed to, reading cards. Especially convenient is the eSATA connection which makes handling of my external HDD much easier and faster also (instead of USB or Firewire)

Cons: The Card reader has only minor support in holding the cards cause the connections are directly behind the face plate and not deeper in the device. More support would have been much better as ,with time, the pins could be easily bend.
Another issue is that the cables coming out of the reader can easily be cut on the sharp edges of the casing.Recommend to put some rubber tubing around it.

Other Thoughts: Maybe in a newer design above will be implemented.
You get what you pay for. All in all I would only cautiously recommend it and only to people that know how to handle fragile devices.
